Best part - he tells me he replaced that old cord with a new one. I say which cord? He says that nasty big long white one. So I go look and he's pulled the ethernet cord from the back of the cable modem, and put a one ft. Cable connecting the wireless router to the modem. I say where's the cable from the cable box? And the look on his face is clueless. That's when I discovered he took all the other stuff out. I'd laugh if I weren't so ******.
Dad pulled out all the electronics while they do the floor... Including the cable box our Internet comes through. He then exchanged our old box for a new one that is in his car uninitialized. I can't hook it up because the hookup is in the livingroom where the floor is wet from baseboard primer.... I'm going to scream at the insanity around here!

Home stuff came up again. They're gonna need a councelor or a corrinor before this is over. *sigh* Ya, I got to play for all of about two hours total this weekend.
