Have you tried normal LBP? Maybe redo the settings and only select up to 780p. It might be the 1080i messing with you, like not totally compliant and screwing it up. I know Chimp has been successful and he only uses up to the 780p settings. I do the 1080i because I like the way the XMB looks prior to launching anything. lol

Ya I did that and on the xmb it's in glorious HD but when I launch a game... a very specific game... hint hint.... it goes to gross way low res stuff hanging off the screen... hm. Something's amis. lol
Go back to display settings. Insure you have the D / component selected. I should be or you probably would not see anything! ..then hit the right d pad button the thingies on the left side of the controller. Insure you select all the resolutions. 480P 780p and 1080i NOT 1080p. Then say yes and finish out. That should do it. If not, I can get on with skype and walk you through it on my system here in a bit.
Any idea why my ps3 looks great with the new video settings until I launch LBP then it goes all low res?

No... not the bug you had. This is more a stomach virus or something, though I do have a headache. Just have felt completely worn out since yesterday from it.
bummer You feeling any better? Hope it's not the bug I had. That was a nasty one. It's still stuck in my chest and the coughing is awful.
