it's a visual representation of your reputation score. If you go under Little Big Experience in the bar on top of the page, there's a number under the column for reputation. The crowns are just the visual part of that score. The rep number goes up when people thank posts you've made or just give you rep for other things. It doesn't really do much (like the awards from the other day) but it's an indicator to other users how helpful you are or how other people view your posts. Make sense? That's funny about mine saying I'm nice... it's so true
