But Kakashi did have a role, a huge role, considering the main villain was very tied to him. and I don't think a God Tree would be that easy to kill. Considering, you know, it's the most powerful thing in all of existence and stuff.
Couldn't someone cut through the stalk of the tree, killing it? I believe so and because Kishi said "Kakashi would come into play with the final battle" and also we know the tree can sense chakra here is my theory. 1. Kakashi has always been good at hiding his chakra. This became famously evident when he killed Kakuzu's first heart without either Hidan or Kakuzu noticing Kakashi. 2. Raikiri is extremely penetrative and be known to be able to cut through most non-lightning objects. 3. Doesn't Minato have one of his tags on Kakashi? So in theory couldn't Kakashi be teleported by Minato in order to cut through the tree before the tree notices either of their chakra? What do you think? This would make sense in completing Kakashi's promised role in the final battle.
