I can do that, but I wouldn't normally delete someone's post unless they request it, other than cases where it breaks the rules. Besides, with only one user other than you or Cyber replying, it doesn't seem to be a particularly popular topic. Perhaps everyone else reads headlines of the form "X could lead to Y" as "no definite causal relationship between X and Y", so by making 'Y' something globally desirable like "cure for cancer", it's more exploitative sensationalism than news.

I've effectively had admin access even before I was a mod, during the period we were trying to get ArrowChat working without killing the entire website, but I generally don't do admin tasks - I just fill in for CC occasionally while he's not around.
