  2. ooooh - I think I had my epiphany! I'll run it past you tonight if your available. Don't want to bother you though. I'd hate to think I was being a pest knowing how I feel about pests. Speaking of which I got deleted from one of my friends lists yesterday because "I never let him join" stung for a second but it's really for the best.

  4. Whew... Weds or Thursday? I think you set yourself quite a ginormous deadline there if you want a really cool boss along with getting some quality intense play testing. Then again your thermo might not let you go too nuts!

  6. Ahh.. yeah, I was a bit surprised by the dynamics of those shots. Oh well.. worth a "shot" at a cheap solution. As far as on a different layer? Hmmm I still like what you have because it is different. There just needs to be another something up top that you have to either get dropped because of or possibly jump down a hole to avoid. A. "Dropped because of.." Not an actual solution or idea, but for example like getting one shot at a button and it tallys the hit count on the boss and is removed dropping you down below. B. Holding a level or a button for a time before getting blasted by a ton more fire stuff that drops on that layer up there which in turn forces the player down the hole or being removed by death.

    On both scenarios I would suggest an ultimate penalty for hanging around up there. Either tons of fire or perhaps a chunky bit of architecture stomping that wall killing all players. Though that event will also need a visual queue of some sort.
  7. Not really. Messed around with a few things but nothing concrete. Really need that epiphany to hit today if I'm going to make it by Wed or Thursday.... It will happen... um... maybe.

Morning I took another look at that fire and I think I prefer the original stuff.... maybe there's a way I can dissolve it but if I can't I think I may have to settle for pushing it out of the way. I am going to tweak it's lifetime so it doesn't hang in the air so long. That should help I think.

    Other than that no epiphanies this morning about boss stuff. *sigh* I did play Oni's Volcano last night and I see what your talking about. Only problem is I have the layers set up wrong and the fire isn't high enough lol. That'll teach me to design without a plan.
  10. Oh I see what you meant. lol I had it backwards in my head like the dissolve would be up top swinging off dm or something. Yea your way would work too.... best done in workshop. yep.
