  1. Heh, google is a bit off on my actual area...

Its still really laid back, Vinakas is still standing, as well.

And, no, Oceanside hasn't overtaken the laidback feel at all. I'm originally from Carlsbad, then I moved to Oceanside when I was 4, and back to Carlsbad last year in Mid-August. Not much has changed, but then again, I was still in Carlsbad a lot.

But overall, its still same ol' carlsbad (Including the crowded as heck beaches)

I'll be frank, its always so interesting how even though Carlsbad is a technically really BIG city, it still has that small town feel... and a bit of everything. Hard to believe such a city would house Legoland!

I really do love the city... CHS is a great school too, but they're tearing down the old buildings in Late fall/Early winter to make way for a student parking lot. They've been building the new buildings since last year, and they're almost done... my parents where in these buildings once...
  2. Sorry...I was on PSN with stanby250.

What do you mean...everything is in walking distance there
Carlsbad had that small town feel...except when the beach was crowded on weekends...which is one reason I really liked it there. When I saw your post in Lady's Member Location thread, I googled the area...looks basically the same. There was a bar I used to go to that's a Steak Restaurant now, although they did serve a buffet, so I guess they were destined to evolve.

So...how is the neighborhood now? Still layed back, or has Oceanside overtaken it?
  3. Tamarack?

Dang, if you still lived there I could walk to your house in about 10 minutes... I'm on Chinquapin
  4. Hope you don't mind me sending you a friend's request theswweet.

I used to live in Carlsbad in some apartments on Tamarack. I loved that area...beach nearby, and especially Sunday morning bike rides to Leucadia.
