  1. Hey, sorry I didn't have anything to show you for infinite terrain, I scrapped all of my early prototypes and hadn't built the new one yet. I just did that though, so next time I can show you something other than a random mess of wires going all over the place lol.
  2. Well actually I've also left SackMech aside for the moment while working for the Online Create contest. Needless to say the project is ambitious enough that I'm not sure there'll be time to complete it before the end of the month, which is why I've put everything else on hold lol.

But yeah, we could try to work out the kinks in the emitter-less infinite terrain concept. I'll probably get back to it some time after new years.
  3. Ah, yes, the ol' Mech project... Well, if you ever come back to it full time, I'd be curious to pop and and fiddle on it with you. It's funny because I just saw how mrsupercomputer made the finall boss in Zephyr Valley, and it's only because I saw that, that I understand how this would work...
  4. That's pretty much the only way to go about it haha. But not a circle, I'm working more on rectangular or rounded-corner rectangular shapes, with specific variations.

Although the concept is simple, the execution is not. Moving massive shapes around causes untold stresses on the LBP physics engine. I've had to abandon three previous designs already due to inefficiency, but I think the fourth design I came up with should work.

Unfortunately, due to participating in the Online Create contest (and having an even more ambitious, universe-imploding project on track) I've put this aside for now. I might not meet the deadline for the invention contest.
  5. I happened across your post about having an emitter-less infinite level...

I'm curious... are you moving your world pieces in a circle and recycling them? You must be! When a piece gets to the end of the track, it is lowered, and sent back in the opposite direction... when it gets back to the beginning, it is lifted back up and recycled? Am I even remotely close?
