I finally got around to playing Aperture Laboratories 1. I have to say you've captured the tone & gameplay of Portal perfectly. I'd forgotten how much I loved the original until I played yours & it brought me right back. Loved finding the secret rooms. (Missed 1 at the beginning, I think.) Anyways great. 5/5 & heart, and I have no idea why I posted all this here & not the level thread, haha.. Oh well.

There's a bit more to it than that when using the default shapes, but in general it refers to the numbers to vertices. You can do the experiment yourself if you aren't willing to accept it on faith.
Triangles=squares for the thermometer? That's strange. I've been assuming I was saving (a little) thermo by using triangles. Doesn't the 'complicated shapes' warning refer to all the points that make up your shapes? ( When my levels overheat, that's usually the warning I get first.)
Triangles = squares. Circles are slightly more, but not by much. I use rectangles for my logic and make them share a single strip of DM.
