  1. I think I was in wizened sackmates a long while ago but I became inactive for about a year. I'd love an invite! I spent a couple months before LBP2 was released practicing my level building, but didn't really get on the forums here til it was released. I wish I could get my other half to play LBP, but she is not a gamer kinda gal. I know Jww lives near me (compared to most of the folks I know here) just one state over. I need to message him and see how he's doing.
  2. Yes, I like rocks and trees too. We're going to be visiting Seattle and Washington State for our main holiday this year and I can't wait to see some of the scenery there both on the coast and near Mount Rainier. We've also booked a log cabin in Stehekin and I'm so excited as I've never stayed in a log cabin before!

Actually, I saw your post in the 30+ thread. A lot of the people who originally signed up to that thread now hang out in the WSM (Wizened Sack Mates) social group. There's a really nice (and very disparate) bunch of people there, all in their 30s or early 40s. If you were interested in joining I could ask Kendan to invite you. It's her group. Get Off My Lawn is a very similar group run by the CountessZ, who is jww's other half and I'm sure she'd be glad to welcome you too. No pressure, though!
  3. Yeah, there are a couple nice spots within 2 hours of me. Hocking Hills near Columbus, Ohio is gorgeous. And Red River Gorge in Kentucky. They are similar. Wooded, rocky, rivers and gorges. Red River Gorge is near Natural Bridge State park. Maybe it's a National Park. I can't remember. But most of Ohio is flat farmland. I'm lucky to live in Cincinnati on the Ohio River. We have hills, lol. There's a lot of history in Cincy. And people complain that it's boring, but I like it.
I've never been to Zion or Moab. Went to Yellowstone Nat'l Park when I was a little kid. And my mom lives in Maine up North. Acadia Nat'l Park is on of my favorites! Rocky coastline and Pine trees everywhere. I guess I like rocks and trees.
  4. Lol! Nonplussed is a good word! "Wont" is cool too - not redundant at all.

Skye is very beautiful but I'm not lucky enough to live there. I'm in the South of England, pretty close to MM in Guildford actually. Skye is about 9 hours' drive away. I posted it as part of a conversation we were having about holidays in one of the Social Groups (Wizened Sack Mates, I think). You have some awesome scenery in the States too - on much bigger scale than we have in Europe. I loved Zion in Utah and the canyons around Moab - just breath-taking.

I saw that you'd made accessing some of the bubble stashes easier in the Contraptical (also a great word!) Obstacle Course so I replayed. I still can't get to those huge piles of bubbles by the rotating arms though. I've fried myself enough times trying too! Looks like I'll have to yield to midnight-heist on this one. He and I have a (friendly) rivalry over our scores in the levels we both play but I'm a lot lazier than he is about it!
  5. Ha! You said nonplussed! We don't hear that over here in the states. I was rummaging around in your photos, as I am wont to do from time to time; that picture in Skye is amazing! I live in Ohio and to get anywhere that beautiful usually is a 2 hour or more car ride. It can be picturesque here in Cincinnati, but nowhere near as awe inspiring.

P.S. is "wont to do" and "from time to time" redundant? :P
  6. You're welcome! I had fun. There aren't enough platformers in LBP2 atm. Actually I'm a bit surprised more people aren't managing to complete the level. I was a bit nonplussed when I saw the stats. If I can pass it, then it can't be that hard, lol!

    Thanks for the add, too.

    Lass
  7. Thanks for the kind review of Dr. Dooley's Contraptical Obstacle Course. I am working on a couple new levels currently. Hope to be finished within a couple of weeks!
