It means there are more folks to keep in line and more who will try to push the boundaries. In any case, I've worked out what the issue is with the date of expiry. I'll need to re-issue the infraction (after reversing the current one), so don't panic that's it's an extra, k? That way it'll only be 3 days instead of the default 14 or whatever for bypassing the filter.
True even though i don't get how a bigger community means stricter rules :o but im sure your right, anyways i kinda Searched Cyanide and Happiness on the forum before making the thread, and i kinda figured spoiler tags were ok since they used spoiler tags and it seemed ok
Okay, I took a look at those threads and tidied them up. If you'll notice, the dates were all 2008. Our community has become a lot bigger since then (a LOT bigger), hence we need to get tougher, obviously, than certain a previous mod who also participated in bypassing the language filter. That doesn't mean it's acceptable. It means he was in the wrong. His main issue was language. Your thread had some really crass content.
Can you ask CC about the C&H because i dont Think the rules have changed since 2008... well i THINK, and thats when CC was more active with going through the forum and such. And what makes me even more confused, the Comics and jokes one, The guy who made that "Marino" was a mod at the time! And some of the comics he posts in the later of the thread are more explicit than ones i posted Sorry for being such a hassle, but im just making sure, but i do have to thank you VERY MUCH for toning the punishment down a bit
Yes, I see the date. That might be a bug issue with the upgrade. It should expire in 3 days automatically, as that's what was selected. If it's still in place, I will lift it manually.
well the other stuff CC responded to well at least one of them anyway, so thats why i thought it was ok. And it says it will expire on september 5th not in 3 days.
Sorry, we had an overlap of messages here... Just bear in mind that because someone has posted inappropriate stuff elsewhere, doesn't make it okay. If you feel the need to warn or apologise for content, that means you should just not post it, okay? That other stuff may have just gone under the radar, but I'll be checking it out. Thanks
