CC i know you have been looking into getting another thing like comet chat but honestly i don't think we need to spend anymore money, i think we should just use the money to keep the site running, just maker visitor messeges have like a 15second delay to making another post and that would be fine Just my opinion

People will register when they want to be a part of the discussion. I don't feel right forcing anyone to register - I just want to offer compelling enough content and hope that's enough to persuade them.

No, we don't need a dedicated debate thread. If you have a topic you'd like to discuss, you're more than welcome to post a thread specifically about that topic. Threads that don't have a specific direction go awry sooner or later, regardless of how well they're managed, so I want to avoid that.
hmm cartmann could i make a Debate thread like i suggested to try and see if people would handle it maturely enough. Im sure i could find good topics for people to talk about. I would let you know if it gets out of hand
