  1. 1. Build the base. When the player is inside, the rooms should take up the whole TV screen. You can use the camera tool to help with this.

    2. Raise the water level over the base.

    3. Make the first room an "air lock". This room should take up the whole TV screen.

    4. Set up some switches so that, once everyone is in the room, a global water object lowers the water. Once the water is all the way down, a water switch will "detect" that the base is dry, and open the airlock. When players are inside the base, it will be dry. When they are outside, the base will be underwater.
  2. dang i wanned to make an underwater army base
  3. You can fake it. You won't be able to "swim down" to a place that's underwater without using a water level switch and some cheating.
  4. so we can make underwater places in lbp2?
  5. You can't because the water in LBP is just a big box under the surface. LBP isn't animating every single drop. Pull a piece of sponge out of LBP water. Does the sponge "drain" water for a few seconds?

Since LBP isn't keeping track of each drop, you can't "displace" it either (put a bubble into the water and force the water out of its way).

They're "fixing" this in LBP2. There's a "water" animated material. You can build a room with that stuff all around it, and it will look like it's underwater.
  6. oh and why can't we make underwater places?
  7. No, =( i cant think of anything (((((((
