It's getting late and I'm going to bed, just letting you know, because every time I get into one of these conversations, my absence is greeted with "HA HE MUST NOT BE ABLE TO COME UP WITH ANYTHING! I WIN!". Hope I've made you think a little... if I have, even for the slightest second, then I've done good here today.
It's not so much that I'm offended - I've been called far, far worse just because of my political views. I just want to see a little more mature debate in the world, as I believe that's the only way to solve the problems everyone faces today. And I hate the "Dang commies!" folks just as much as I hate those who cry teabagger; in fact I probably hate those people more, as progressive 'journalists' can point at those people and say "lol bigots". =/ Speaking of, I disagree with you that all cable news is conservative... but regardless, the answer is to see all points of view. I watch Beck and O'Reilly, but I also watch Rachel Maddow and read the Huffington Post. I even check out a little Media Matters from time to time.

That's really all you have to say? You see the name Glenn Beck and you need to point out how much you hate him. You know, I REALLY want to like you. I can imagine how tough it can be to come out and say "I'm a communist.", and I really appreciate such honesty... I'm sick of people who try to hide their politics. But using such words just because people disagree with you is absolutely insane.

If you want to make a point, why not phrase it as: "The conservative movement held back development, hence this way of thinking."?
