  1. Thought it was worth mentioning that I was able to give a couple friends your material palettes and they were able to edit them even though they were getting them second hand from me. I guess since I never captured them, they were treated the same as when they originally came from the prize bubbles.
  2. Well, the only variables I thought might make a difference would be what color plasma ball was used to destroy the creature, and how long, before the creature dissolved, it was captured.

Doesn't matter. It's actually quite handy having two different strengths of plasmafication - I'll probably put both samples in prize bubbles.
  3. Sorry. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night and completely spaced that detail. Of course you couldn't mat change another material to lava, so there wouldn't be a side by side comparison that way. Yeah, I don't know why it would be brighter, unless at some point Mm has done something (deliberate or accidental) that causes things to plasmafy brighter when they die than they used to.

Even if that's the case, it seems strange that it wouldn't affect previously plasma'd objects. I know Mm typically doesn't change previously glitched objects, but I would think the "plasmafied" effect would call up the same shader (or whatever is) with the same values (brightness) regardless of when they were captured. I mean, I wouldn't expect the game to keep separate values for something like that. It's also possible that when something dies by plasma, its brightness isn't constant during its death (though I've never noticed this) and its final brightness depends on when you captured it.
  4. Well, like I said, I tried material-changing both my plasmafied blocks to the same material, and even then one is clearly brighter than the other, so I don't see how one originally having been lava would affect that.

    No matter.
  5. I have no idea. I watched XFreeze make it. He just did it the normal way with green plasma balls. The only difference was that he finagled with the emitter timing until it stayed. We tried it on objects, too, but it didn't work.

I did notice that it seemed brighter, though, but figured it was my imagination. It's not just brighter 'cuz the chunk of lava happens to be at the brightest spot in the texture, is it? (Did that make any sense?)
  6. Just noticed something. That plasmafied lava you gave me - when you compare it to my existing plasmafied block, the plasma is much brighter, even when both blocks are of the same material type. Might it be depend on the color of the plasma ball which was used to create it?
  7. I'm sure I was thinking of something the other day, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was now.
  8. I'm rolling back again. Anything you want? I've already tried to get the 80-speed motor bolt from the Large Wooden Steed, and it doesn't seem to be copyable or detachable.
  9. Didn't need to detach the block of wood: when you kill it, everything unglues. I just moved the dark matter away from everything else so I could capture it. I may have copied/pasted it and captured the copied version, but I doubt it (I think that was just something I tried when I was trying to keep 3d objects from disappearing).
  10. Oh? I thought you'd used a material-glitched block of DM you created in 1.02.

I think I left the original emitted version in place, and copy/pasted and captured/pasted versions too. There was no ownership info on the blocks, and they became immediately uneditable even before I imported my profile.

Did you detach the block from the block of wood before you captured it?

Otherwise I might try the other method of killing with a hazard and delethalizing. I managed to recreate thin-layer gas in 1.02 which was still editable in 1.25, so maybe this would work better as I don't think you need to capture it at all. IIRC a simple copy/paste prevents it from vanishing.
