  1. That sounds like a really neat head start! Tell me how it goes?
  2. Well, I'm not really sure what was used to develop Limbo, but I'm pretty sure it's considered an indie game. Video game developing is the career path I'm aiming for, and I believe Java is a good start, because it's one of the easier languages, it's widely known, and it's open source, and should be compatible with Steam. You wouldn't be able to whip something up as beautiful as Limbo, and if you could, it would really take a while, but it looks to be a nice starting point. ^^
  3. Ohhhhh I might just have to learb it!It sounds really neat!So lets just say,it would allow me to make a full fleged game like LIMBO?
  4. I'd like to start off on the computer. It's simple, and I wouldn't have to worry about the costs of going multi-platform via console. Publishing games on phones could be cool, but I'd like to do that later on. So yeah, right now I'm thinking on the computer, via Steam.
  5. Don't mean to sound stupid...but why types of games will you be programing?Like apps for android?or games like limbo?Sorry just a bit confused....
  6. I'm just saying that you have your own story, so it's not completely necessary on knowing what each and every returning character from Blackout has been through, especially since the back-stories people have provided for their returning characters in the sign-ups mold together for a somewhat-well roundup. I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate you reading through it, I just don't want things to get too confusing for you, or at least not take up too much time of yours, but of course, it's up to you in the end. It all depends on which faction you want to join though
  7. Alright, well, when you're done with the 3 parts I did send you, I can simply summarize what you might wanna know in the end, just way less detailed. I mean, you're new to this, all you really need to know is that past terrorist groups Ascension and Blackout have returned, the big three console factions, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are now at war because of Blackout tricking them into fighting eachother, even though some soldiers of each faction know that blackout is behind it. Microsoft's capital is New Natal, Texas (or by some, New New Natal) and Sony's is Sao Paulo, Brazil. Also, older console manufacturers Atari and Sega seem to have some sort of involvement. Sega's because of Project Genesis, Atari, because they might have made some deals with Blackout.
  8. Ah ,well i haven't finished reading all of them anyway. Will check out the thread later though
  9. Sorry for sending you yet another message, but I just wanted to tell you, looking over recent posts in TCW5 sign-ups, I don't have to send you a roundup this majorly-detailed. Sorry I'm saying that just now, I guess I just had to think about it some. Because The Console Wars are about crafting your story, it's not fully necessary to know what happened for some characters. Still, there are a few important things to know about Blackout for TCW5 to make more sense, plus I could send a much less detailed summary, that compiles the stuff you might wanna know.
  10. Before I send you another part, I just wanna say that I'm not sure when sign-ups will end, but I know Merc is really pushing for people to sign up, so it might be good for you to start thinking about a character as you're getting caught up, but just remember, TCW5 will take place 2 months after the events of Blackout. Also, I wouldn't focus too much on colliding with the characters that you see in Blackout, because by the time Blackout's over, a few of them will be dead.
