First, I want to say thank you to RickRock_777 for helping me organize this dang blog. Thank you Rick.
I knew going in that this was going to be one busy week, but not this dang busy.
We had the county fair and rodeo coming up so we had to make preparations for that as my oldest kid was showing rabbits. This will be her 7th time showing rabbits and usually does pretty well.
So that's going on and then my twins' soccer coach decides that we need to have a scrimmage on Monday night, plus regular practice on Tuesday evening. Completely ridiculous.
1st, they are 5 year olds, 2nd, this isn't a regularly sanctioned league, there are no play off games and heck, they don't even keep score! 3rd, there are only 5 games! One game left, I can't wait!
Tuesday night I got the twins in bed and had just turned on the PS3 for some LBP and the phone rings. My lovely bride is on the phone and says the car won't start. She and oldest had gone out to the farm to wash the show heifer and work her a little bit. So, DANG IT! I shut off the game and decide to play a trick on the twins. They had already fallen asleep so I went and yelled, "Come on! Get up! We're late for school!" I quickly got them up and told them, "No time to get dressed, you have to go to school in your pajamas!" Their eyes were wide and looking around all confused and it didn't don on them until I got them in the truck that it was still night time. Ha ha! yes!
Anyway, I get out to the farm and found that my wife had turned on the lights of the car to see the wash area better. I says, "What? Why didn't you just turn on the dang barn lights?" She says, "Well, I didn't know that would run the battery down." :/
Friday I had to take off work and take the twins to their follow up appointment with the surgeon (they had tonsils out and tubes put in ears back in August) Oldest was at the county fair getting her rabbits judged. She didn't place as high as we were hoping but she still made the sale, so that was good. Then we had the volleyball game and an hour after that was the football game. Busy night.
Saturday was sale day. We had to be there at 5 pm, daughter was #77 in the sale, so we had about 3 1/2 hours to kill. I wanted a funnel cake real bad and went to get one. $6.00!! What! Nah, you can keep your funnel cake. I opted instead for a hamburger. Big mistake! My stomach sounded like a hundred year old furnace in an even older insane asylum. This made for an excruciating long wait. Restrooms were no good. Picture if you will, 5000 drunk rednecks using restrooms, which didn't even have doors on the stalls! No thanks, I'll hold it. Daughter ended up getting $700 for her rabbit, which I was glad that we at least did a little better than breaking even. The concert was good. John Conlee and some other guys played. I opted to not ride any rides this year. I love roller coasters and fast rides, but at big theme parks. These things look like they're being held together with baling wire and duct tape. Got home around 2 am and got up at 7:30 am
LBP related Stuff
I reluctantly let RickRock_777 see a couple of things I've been working on. I say reluctantly, because I'm really self conscience about my skills. Rick had good things to say about what I had and gave me some very valuable advice and ideas. Thank you Rick. As soon as things slow down, I will continue to work on those projects. I did get to play through a bunch of showcase levels and the next Spotlight episode is shaping up to be a good one.
Wow! didn't intend on that being that long. If you read through the whole thing, then you get a gold star!
