Hi guys! I decided to write a little something here on the old blog. Idk if many people will read this but I don't mind. I know i'm not much of a creator. I just like to play and chat with people. However, I do play around in create mode almost everyday and have made some nifty things.

I think I'm going to use this blog like I use create mode. Its just a way for me to think out loud and everyone can comment.

Now bear in mind that I really don't think of my self as a great creator, I think I really only made one good level and that only has 2 plays I think. Rocket Rampage is the name if you want to look at it. I like it just because there were so many challenges in making it, especially in the logic department, but I figured it all out and made the whole level in two days. I really suprized (can never spell this word right.)myself.

Right now in create mode I have a 4 big ideas that I want to talk about.

I have two levels that are mingames and are big and complex like rocket rampage. These intimidate the heck outta me lol. But when I just break it all down and do it section by section it is really fun and I learn lots about logic. The first is like a story level in the second world. Its where there are falling circles and you gotta shoot them to survive. It gets harder and harder until you touch a circle and die. I have been working on this one the longest and figured out thing I never knew how to do like how to make the player only have one life and how to make a music selector. This is a one player survival challenge type deal. This is the level I that I think will be the most fun and is the nearest to completion.

The second minigame I started working on is a lbp 2 version of the tv game show deal or no deal. I was watching the show and the idea just came to me when the guy pressed the button and made the deal. I was in logic mode and was like "He pressed the button, that actives the lights and the score and the game ender!" I pretty much made the signs with the $ amounts and that was it. I doubt I'll really make the whole level, I'll just play around with the idea and never release it because I'm not good with logic and that all the game is lol. So if somebody is reading this and wants to make this deal or no deal level go ahead. I'd play it lol just tell me your doing it.

The third level I got is very different. I'm an artist in real life and make drawings, paintings ect. and was wondering if I could make a level that told a story only using big cardboard walls covered with stickers. I made about 7 walls all next to each other and made music with them to enhance the mood of that particular piece. But idk if it really tells a story, and idk if people would like it as a level, because it is like walking in a art gallery. There really is no gameplay. You just walk from one piece to the next.


There is an example of a wall. That's the evil alien. There is music that plays just for that wall and the camera changes.
Now there are two big holes in it because I was trying to make it at least a little, more interactive, so I thought I'd let you and a friend be some of the characters. So you can run behind the wall and pose and take pictures. I had to redo all of the walls to make it work, but I think it makes the whole thing better, because now it is co op and you can make funny faces But I still don't know how people will react to a level like this. It is very different from like a minigame of a platformer.

The last thing I wanted to talk about relates to the previous level. As I said, I'm an artist and make beautiful things all the time. I was thinking of taking pictures of some of my work and using them in the game, ( lol I even drew that same picture from above on a 20 x 20 piece of paper and it looks identical, I'd give it to you as a prize for acing the level.) But recently a friend's level got modded for using the ps eye to take pics of his art and put it in the level. The art had nothing bad in it, so who knows why it got removed, but it did. This sucks because I was thinking of using my art ingame because while I suck with logic I am amazing with a paint brush! But I guess sony doesn't want that stuff in lbp 2. It doesn't make sense to me.


Oh, and when are the scoreboards going back up anyone know?
