I have five myths on building levels. All explanations will be in blue while myths will be in quotes. Please read carefully. These will give you an idea for building levels.
#1:
"Just because they can't make a DLC about one TV show doesn't mean you can't make a level based on the TV show."
That is true, but it's best you shouldn't make a level if no DLC is released for it. It is a copyright violation.
#2:
"I can't copy levels, but I can make my own bomb surival or shark survival."
Wrong! Absolutely wrong! If we see way too many levels of the same kind, do not make a level like that (even in a more well-designed manner).
#3:
"If I can't use the contraptions from story mode, then I can't make a replica of the story objects in my own way."
Wrong again! You can make contraptions, obstacles, and vehicles that are similar to story mode. It shows how creative you are and how much work you are doing. But it's true you shouldn't take contraptions, obstacles, enemies, and vehicles from story mode.
#4:
"There's no point in using water, attract-o-gel, jetpacks, or paintinators with the use of grappling hooks, grabinators, creatinators, and anti-gravity."
Although we introduced a lot of tools that made other tools useless, you can still use the other tools. You can still use the jetpack after the introduction of water, attract-o-gel, and grappling hooks. There are some appropriate uses and inappropriate uses.
#5:
"Anything we make in create mode can be used in story mode."
Only if it's good for the levels. Items like nuke firing vehicles, tanks, space ships, and that pokeball (which got moderated) should not be used in a good level (like story levels, platformers, and games).
