Yeah. What do you do? i don't have anything but games, dlc and saves on my ps3. And i don't really want to remove anyone of them because i'll need the games to play, i'll loose money on removing the dlc, and do i even need to say anything about the saves?

I don't think i can move any of 'em into a external hard drive either. I have a faint memory of failure.. Something with the files not being copy-able.

The File Transfer is one of the hardest things I have ever attempted and I really wouldn't want to suggest that to you and it go wrong. However, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to place some things on an external Hard Drive and then place it back on the system.

    My advice?

Get a good and reliable External HDD, pull up a reliable and sensible guide on how to move data to a HDD from PS3, move a single game save across to it (something that you wouldn't mind as much as the others if you accidentally did it wrong) and then move the item back to the PS3 and see if you can run it and or edit it without any errors or faults, then, do the same for the rest of the things you aren't too fussed about

Good luck to you my fellow sack.

In case you didn't know: you can always redownload games and DLC that you purchased in the PSN Store via the download history. For example, I'm not playing Infamous right now, so I uninstalled it, saving some 7GB (IIRC) of harddisk space. When I'm ready to start playing it, I'll just redownload and install it.
