Welcome one and all to the latest Episode of the Spotlight. We’ve been struggling a little with technical problems so there’s no Karting Spotlight this Episode and there are not as many reviews as usual but the levels featured more than make up for that. There are some truly wonderful levels, bursting with imagination, fun and creativity for you to queue and enjoy! ...byPublished on 07-20-2014 06:43 PM
Hello and howdy LittleBigCentralites, and welcome to episode 140 of the community spotlight! We've been running at low power this week due to certain members taking a holiday (I mean, how very dare they! There are cookies going stale in the cupboards!) and the sad, sad loss of hyperdude's PS3 (RIP, little trooper) but we are still here, and still fighting, ready to bring you your fortnightly roundup of the very best the level showcase has to offer! It's been a long two weeks, and I'm running on a very small amount of sugar now, so without further ado, let's get on to the whole reason you're here, and see what levels we've got!

Welcome everyone to Episode…erm…138 (you would not believe the debate we’ve had behind the scenes about the numbering of this Episode xD) of the Community Spotlight, featuring the very best of the levels in the Showcases and Recommendations forum here on Central. It’s an Episode rich in colour, creativity and humour…and the levels are pretty good too :P In all seriousness, we owe a big debt to the creators featured here. Their wonderful levels prove that there’s a lot of life left yet in the existing games, while we wait for LBP3 to hit later in the year.
A couple of notices. We would also like to say a hearty welcome back to Ria who is re-joining the Spotlight after an absence of a year or so. It’s great to have her back. Also, there’s no Karting Episode this time round as we hit some technical difficulties but don’t worry all the levels posted will be held over until the next Episode.
Without further ado, on with the Spotlight! ...byPublished on 06-08-2014 05:20 PM
The LBPCentral Spotlight Crew would love to take this moment to appreciate a wonderful entity in our LittleBigPlanet family, the one and only LittleBigPlanet Karting! Since it's release back in 2012 everyone was given the experience of a kart racer with customization beyond other racing games out there. Creators were able to grasp the ability of created 3-D environments ranging from mere race tracks to brawling battle arenas and even levels that don't have karts required, but a standalone experience on its own.
From our snazzy-looking karts and costumes to the previously mentioned 3D level creating, creators took their skills to their test and have created incredible worlds with the editor -almost 200,000 levels published!- and the racers themselves took on the competition for being the-top-of-the-top! Now, LittleBigPlanet Karting may not be the best game out there, there are gimmicks here and there but that's ok. No game is perfect, and not every game can pack quite some potential like Karting can, which makes it still today a valued treasure to our community.
We would like to take episode 138 to give karting the full-spotlight it deserves as it has waiting for a moment to fully shine! Don't worry about the LBP2 and LBPV levels for this episode, they will be featured next episode along with the next batch of spotlight levels. For now, please enjoy a stroll through these spotlighted levels that were in the Karting Forum for this episode, it is completely amazing to still see strong support for the game! ...byPublished on 05-26-2014 01:57 AM
Welcome everyone to the latest edition of the Spotlight, featuring levels posted in the Level Showcase and Recommendations Forum here on LBPC. We have a bumper crop of levels for you this time, with plenty to keep your sackboy happy this holiday weekend.
On a sadder note, we have to say a (I hope temporary) farewell to biorogue who is taking an extended break from spotlighting, after an awesome 2 and a half years on the Crew. He will be sorely missed and he’s going to leave behind a huge bio-shaped hole in the Spotlight. It just won't be the same without him. He has given so much to the Spotlight in the past few years - passion, humour, warmth and Texan forthrightness. Anyway, as bio himself would say (actually has said, lol), we won’t make it sound too much like he’s died or anything and we’re still hoping he may be he’ll return one day when he’s recharged his batteries and sorted out his heifers xD Anyway, in the meantime a BIG THANK YOU from all of us to bio and we hope he enjoys the Texan banner in his honour. He once said he wanted the spotlight banner to feature flaming skulls and even mocked something up but I couldn’t find it (fortunately :P) and this is even better!
Apologies to any creators whose levels have only got one review, but we’re a little short-handed this weekend. Also, apologies but the Vita LBPC12 entries will be held over again until next Episode.
Without further ado, on with the Spotlight. ...byPublished on 05-11-2014 06:38 PM
Welcome everyone to the latest episode of the Spotlight featuring the best of the levels posted in the level Showcase and Recommendations forum over the past two weeks. Thanks to Sandro8708, bonner123 and kingerbrocku for their recommendations. In fact bonne123 recommended three great levels by mpggsmpggs but to avoid overload we’re holding over the last of the 3 until our next Episode. Keep the awesome recommendations coming!
As usual, given the crossover between the Spotlight Crew and the Contest Crew judges, we’re also holding over all the LBPC12 levels posted in the Showcase until after the results have been announced.
Finally, we wanted to let you know that given the (hopefully temporary only) slowdown in the number of levels being posted on LBPC at the moment, we are contemplating moving to a monthly rather than a fortnightly Spotlight until things pick up again. Any feedback or suggestions would be gratefully received.
In the meantime, without further ado, on with the Spotlight!

Welcome everyone to the latest Episode of the Community Spotlight featuring the best of the levels posted in the Level Showcase and the Recommendations forum in the past fortnight. Please do check out the honourable mentions as there are some excellent levels in there too, some by creators who deserve more exposure. Thanks to all the creators for continuing to produce such great levels. You’re doing amazing things still with the game.
A special thanks too to Dragonvarsity, AVundCV and Sandro8708 for recommending some great levels. Keep up the great work xD
