It's time for another sit down chat with a community member in Community Corner and with us this time is Rangers-1 to talk to us about his own movie creations and his favourite movies in LittleBigPlanet.
Movie Directors often have a chair with their name on...
But since no-one reading this will be able to see your chair... And they're missing out because it's a really lovely-looking chair! Please tell us the name on it and a little about yourself...
Hello! My name is Scott, otherwise known as Rangers-1 on LittleBigPlanet or as LittleBigAnimation from YouTube.
Some of you may know me from my more popular creations, Batman: The Justice League Prologue or The Blank Page. I am predominantly a film maker.
Oh! And I'm Scottish!
So Scott from Scotland, how long have you been a part of the LittleBigPlanet community?

Attention PAX attendees! Tom and I (Spaff) are going to be at the show and we’d love to see you.
We’ll be spending most of our time over the three days at The LittleBigPlanet area of the Sony booth, where you’ll be able to get your hands on LittleBigPlanet 2, and maybe browse the Sackboy related goods in the merchandise stall.
We’ll also have some of our community all-stars (Jaeyden, Morgana25, Comphermc, and ConfusedCartman) at the event who will be jamming and creating things live, so you can see what kind of things can be made with the new tools, and get some handy hints and tips from them on building your own levels.
Additionally we’ll be presenting various aspects of the game at the LittleBigPlanet ‘Genius Bar’, and we should have some special play challenges and other crazy things going on, so pop on by and say hey!
See you at PAX!
P.S If you come and high five me or tom, we’ll give you a badge to celebrate how awesome you are, until we run out of them of course.

At this point you’re probably vaguely aware of the Community Game Jam. We thought that article detailing what it was like to be there would be an interesting read for you, but of course it wouldn’t be fair for us to tell you all about how much fun we had without sharing what we’ve learned while we were at MM Towers!
The version of the game that we had access to was by no means final and the time that we had with the game was nowhere near enough to experience all it has to offer. Also, keep in mind as well that there was a fair amount of partying, sleep deprivation, giggly girlish joy, and overall awesome that may have somewhat clouded our memories, so take this list as an indication of the power of the new game and understand that it may be subject to change between now and release.
So, many thanks to everyone at Media Molecule and Sony for being such fantastic hosts. Also many thanks to all the creators at the Creator Jam, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you all it wouldn't have been possible to put together this information to share with the community without your help over the last week:
Wexfordian, StevenI, jump_button, jackofcourse, Poms, Julesyjules, Steve_big_guns, Anpostteller, rtm223, Jaeyden, FULLGORR, comphermc, JulesyJules, GruntosUK.

Article by Matthew Compher, aka comphermc
------------------
As many of you are aware, Media Molecule recently played host to a number of talented LittleBigPlanet creators from around the world. This event was held in order to allow the group to experience the new features LittleBigPlanet 2 brings to the table, while drumming up content to be used in press events and the like. The event, held in Mm's new Guildford studio the weekend of June 4th, was aptly dubbed the Community Game Jam 2010. I've done my best to fill this article to the veritable brim with summaries and impressions of the whole ordeal, all taken from attendees, and all put together in an attempt to accurately describe what went down. It is written from my perspective, but we have included the viewpoints of many others in the article (by way of quotes and recollections) as well. Enjoy!

Hey LBPCentral, remember that competition where people could win around $50,000 for creating an educational project in LBP? Well, help us vote for what you think is the best LBP educational project!
The public voting for the Game Changers People's Choice Awards 2010 has opened and it would be great if we could help get your votes for the following project winners. This whole competition, sponsored by Sony, the HASTAC Foundation, and the University of California, was held to help foster education through gaming. These levels are going be coupled with 1000 PS3s donated by Sony to libraries in low income communities, on top of being available to the rest of the PSN community.
The following six projects were chosen as award winners a few days ago and now your vote can determine which one is the best overall by the people! =P

Voting for the first round of the Escapist’s March Mayhem Developer’s Showdown 2010 begins today. It’s a chance for the public to vote for their favourite developers. A chance to show the world who truly has the biggest and most persuadable fan base. A chance for The Escapist to treble their readership. But most of all, it’s an all out horrible teeth-gnashing bloody battle to the death to see who will actually bother voting, and who is the BEST DEVELOPER EVAR.
We are committed to victory. There is a very slim chance of achieving that victory, it’s basically a suicide mission, and that is why we have chosen YOU to fight for us whilst we hang out behind the lines drinking tea.
Now is the time people! Sign up and vote for us, the true underdogs of this war. Do your duty and vote, vote, vote for Molecule! I’ll lead the charge! The 900 billion people who own Rock Band won’t even know what’s hit ‘em!
Vote Molecule!
Note that you need to sign up for an account at The Escapist to vote.

This morning we all crept downstairs to see what Father Christmas had left for us in our stockings. We got an orange, and some chocolate, a doodad, some wotchamacallems and that neat little toy we’d been coveting all year long, what a haul! We hope Father Christmas brought you all nice things too!
Now it’s time to feast upon roasted foods, watch the Queen’s Speech, have a bit of a family tiff, make up with some chocolates, and settle down for some classic Christmas ...

LittleBigPlanet is both evolutionary and revolutionary. It set a completely new standard for community-created content on the console, and won countless awards in the process. It's gathered the attention of gamers and developers alike, impressing all who are lucky enough to play it. Now that the PS3 has dropped in price, this Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet couldn't make more sense. This is essentially a re-release of LittleBigPlanet - a way for the newcomers to the world of Playstation to dive in to the deep community that LittleBigPlanet offers in a way that just isn't possible with the original LittleBigPlanet. For $60.00, you get the original LittleBigPlanet, every major DLC pack that has been released thus far, "over a dozen" costumes, and bonus community-created levels. Lets go over each of these extras in more detail, shall we? (click through for the rest!)
