Yep...I told you I was old.

Oh, and the Wizard of Oz came on once a year only! Dinner was always finished well ahead of time. Mom would pop tons of popcorn, and all of us were allowed to drink one pop while watching it.

Our family sat around the TV every Sunday night to watch The Wonderful World of Disney (In living Color). lol The end of the Vietnam War and Richard Nixon resigning, and Gerald Ford pardoning him. I remember always being afraid of nuclear war and tornadoes.

OOoooohhh. I also got Cheech and Chong's first album. I had to sneak it into the house so my parents didn't see it. It was hilarious, although I have to admit that some of the humor went right past me. It was later on in years before I realized what some of the stuff meant.

The Brady Bunch, Jackson Five and the Partridge Family were really popular. Mood rings, knockers, bubs daddy bubble gum. Pong! Also, banana seat bicycles. Mine was pink with a white basket on the front. I also had a creepy doll named Little Miss No Name. It scared my babysitter...lol. Mattel Kiddles, Barbies, and Patter Pillows.
