How long ago was this?? Did you send them your most recent one? You never know... they may be slow movers. But if they don't acknowledge the work and skill, well, it's their oversight.

Wow.. that would be pretty intense

However my problem was it was gusty to steady winds while attempting to photograph cars flying by at up to 180mph getting a clear steady shot using a lens large enough to act as a rudder on a small boat. I could EASILY stand there... much harder trying to keep the lens from blowing around like a wind sock.

True.. just sucks to stand out in it... Just hard to play when the wind is so strong it is about knocking you down.

From an event I shot a few weeks ago.. still trying to get through all of them. I was sick last week and got way behind. The event was the SCCA National Championship Runoffs up at Road America. Road racing with tons of cars all over the country.. Weather pretty much sucked the whole time. Windy, some rain, dark, hazy.

Nothing really.. just working on pics still. lol

I think they gave out crowns a lot more freely early on and now, because there are so many deserving peoples (and rather than sharing the love more widely and freely) they're tight AS with the crown handouts. If it was up to me, I'd give you one. But hey, in the scheme of things, you my talented friend, are just another person to be upset with them about something. The people here love your Mona Lisa. And we're awesome, so that should be almost as good as a crown, right?
