Thanks! Yeah, jeffcu28 did a great job on that. Oddworld is one of the best games ever.... I usually replay at least one of the games every year or so.

It should be open now, I was doing a little touch ups yesterday, if it's still locked ill open it when I get home. ;P

alright, my gameplay as of now is kinda... not too integrated but I'm working on it. i played your level, see your thread.

when you say 'less blocky fire', do you mean 'less fire' or 'better fire'?

Thanks so much for attempting my level! I'm gonna get rid of all the decorations and start over.. it looked better without them, unfortunately. I will also put in more signs with guiding arrows etc, or magic mouths or something. I haven't had people really play it before so it's hard to tell what's obvious and what's not.

I was wondering what you might have in mind in terms of gameplay ideas?

I agree that a lot of crappy levels are rated MUCH higher than they need to be. All you have to do is start browsing 5 star levels and you'll see all the crap you can find on there. That doesn't mean we should all go around five-starring levels we don't think deserve it. Again, look at the pro's I listed. There was a lot that you did good!

As for my low score, I am very stringent when it comes to what I expect from a 5 star level. Because I thought your level "needed work," that's the number of stars I chose (2). It may sound harsh, but it's just my opinion. I base it wholly on the system Media Molecule put in place.

When browsing levels in the Community Spotlight, I've only given one or two 5 star ratings ever. Most of them get 2-4 stars. Also, when I play a level, I try to break it or find things that are broken. Part of that is to make myself a better creator, and the other reason is to help the creator fix them.

I think the goal of your level was to make people laugh, and unfortunately our sense of humor isn't in the same place. I think that prevented a lot of what you were going for from getting the desired effect. Just remember: Don't take it personally and don't let one guy's opinion keep you from creating!
