Well, thanks. The biggest problem, I think, is focus. Though the hub is a great idea, it will be a while before enough other people are ready to contribute, say, a room for Secundus, the Coyote city. So I think I'll just start the actual Aethernauts episodes and be done with it.

Yeah, those LBP.me named locked levels are quite interesting!
I had to rename a level (it's a nice font, shhh) to keep that one secret, ha.

How close? Well, in my 5 days off so far, I have (finally) decided on a story/bad guy/enemies, refined by inventory system, and am now working on the different sections of my level. But refining the basic mechanics takes priority.
I think each section will focus on a different powerup, as I think I have too many ideas/concepts that could confuse the average player. (keep it simple stupid!)
So a long way to go. But I know when I finalise the basic stuff, the actual building of the level will come into place. (learnt that with my beta "bee-d racer" level)
I also feel it would be beneficial to create a film/intro to the city. (modelled from opening narrator on powerpuff girls). I have the script already.

I won't release it until I am 100% happy/proud of it, so I wouldn't hold your breath!

In other news, a few of my platforming sections for my new level seem to be too hard, so you can look foward to them in the bonus sections. :P

I think I was in wizened sackmates a long while ago but I became inactive for about a year. I'd love an invite! I spent a couple months before LBP2 was released practicing my level building, but didn't really get on the forums here til it was released. I wish I could get my other half to play LBP, but she is not a gamer kinda gal. I know Jww lives near me (compared to most of the folks I know here) just one state over. I need to message him and see how he's doing.

Part 2:

As for my course, I've got the materials, now I just have to make the time to sit down, re-read the coursework and do the remaining three assignments. Easy-peasy!

Holy cow, Lass!! Making you reapply for your own jobs... that's rich! Well, I'm sure you'll be fine no matter what you do. David took a redundancy package once (he asked for it) and it was great. 6 months of relaxation (for him.. well, as much as you can relax with a house full of kids! )

Psyntens' pod was quite amazing, but don't underestimate your brilliant Harry Potter. Your pods are wonderful. I look forward to one day playing an entire LEVEL by the talented shropshirelass. Don't disappoint me now!
I spoke to Cog not so long ago about Leonardo Da Stickerist. he said he has no plans to resume the competition at this stage. Actually he may have said he would consider a new version of it. I have a shocking memory at the moment. I might have to hit Daj with the idea if Cog doesn't come through. I really enjoyed those and they never judged that round with the plant monsters I think I'd have been in with a chance on that one.

Just dropping in to say good luck with the Pod Design Competition. I LOVED your Harry Potter entry!! You've got some tough competition there, though. Amazing things being done in such small spaces... I can really appreciate that

So, how are things? Flat out?

Yeah, there are a couple nice spots within 2 hours of me. Hocking Hills near Columbus, Ohio is gorgeous. And Red River Gorge in Kentucky. They are similar. Wooded, rocky, rivers and gorges. Red River Gorge is near Natural Bridge State park. Maybe it's a National Park. I can't remember. But most of Ohio is flat farmland. I'm lucky to live in Cincinnati on the Ohio River. We have hills, lol. There's a lot of history in Cincy. And people complain that it's boring, but I like it.
I've never been to Zion or Moab. Went to Yellowstone Nat'l Park when I was a little kid. And my mom lives in Maine up North. Acadia Nat'l Park is on of my favorites! Rocky coastline and Pine trees everywhere. I guess I like rocks and trees.

Thanks for the heads up on the bug...not sure why it was suddenly doing that but I fixed the problem...funny thing is it only happened to a few people
