hey i sent you a friend request
  3. Drat the 1000 character limit...here's the rest...

We haven't tried the mermaid costume yet (in case Nady didn't want us ripping it off!) but we'll have a go at the weekend. I'll mention costume making to Freya (my daughter). She's very friendly but may think nearly 13 is a bit too scary. I'll ask and thanks for suggesting it. Freya does love going online and being "friends" with people and Harry (my son) and I always get impatient with her when she wants to do costumes and we want to play, so we shall see! Her costumes are not up to Nady's standards though. Nady has some pretty impressive ones in that album!
  4. You haven't really sounded crabby, lol, just a bit stressed out. I must say I think I have it cushy at the moment. 10 and 8 are nice ages and the sibling rivalry, though there, is not as fierce as if they were the same sex. They rub along OK most of the time, except when my son thinks his younger sister is not given as hard a time as he is just because she's a girl and the baby of the family (and yes that is still possible at . He may have something of a point there, though he conveniently forgets that he does get up to a lot more things than she does, lol!

I can see that four grown up size people, two of whom are at daggers drawn a lot would be stressful. My husband sometimes talks wistfully of the days when children would be brought at age 18 to their father's study to meet him properly for the first time...hhmm.

    To be continued...

  7. lol, nothing I guess. . .no advice at all; you're doing great. Anyways, given the flat and spherical nature of a roomba I imagine you could just sit on it while it flies. . . Steering could be achieved by grabbing the seat and leaning the direction you wanna go. As for the clock. . . sure we could stick one on there why not, but I wouldn't recommend trying to check the time in the middle of a flight.

*edit- and due to your maximized gluteus; you'd just need to get an extra roomy-roomba.
  8. Nah, I'm sure you're still the same worn out sack mamma we've all come to know and love. Feel free to ignore my advice as you well know that's what I do to yours

and FYI- a roomba is a small unobtrusive, disc shaped robot that cleans your floors for you all on its own.
  9. Hi

Sorry you seem to be having a rough time of it at the moment. Hold on in there! You just...need to ...stagger on...till the..beginning...of...term!

There are times around the school holidays when I think wistfully that life would be much easier if I didn't work so that I didn't have to juggle work and holidays and put the children in holiday day camps etc. I feel I end up doing a bad job both of the work and of being a mother! in reality though I know that 2 months at home with the children over the Summer would have me climbing walls (and them too, lol!). Probably safest for everyone if I do work!

Anyway, my impression of you is that you are a pretty indomitable person so hang on in there and when term starts, boy do you have a ton of fantastic levels to play! It will be worth the wait.
  10. Hmmmm. . . . Sounds like you need to start taking a little bit of "mamma's time". You're starting to come off as over-stressed in your posts in multiple places. Anyways. . yeah, just start thinking about taking some more time for yourself. Although its probably not really an option. . . maybe dreaming of it can help.

Anyways forget about the broomsticks BD; thats yesterdays news. Roombas are the wave of the future!

Perceptions of Power

by BabyDoll1970 on 06-18-2010 at 02:09 AM
The experience of becoming a moderator has been an interesting one so far. The most bizarre aspect of 'interesting' has been how, all of a sudden, I have people I've never spoken to - or even met before - visiting my profile page and sending me psn requests. I was told that would happen, and I have no problem with that whatsoever, everyone's been really nice and it's been fun getting to know other people in the community ... I'm assuming that it's simply a case of my having been dragged out of

Locked in frustration!!

by BabyDoll1970 on 09-18-2009 at 11:49 PM
Yesterday I locked my 'Art Vandals!' level because I was so angry at the recurring GLITCHES!!

"What can I do?!" I exclaimed to the TV - and, not surprisingly - it didn't offer me a single helpful suggestion. Probably because it's a Samsung. I'm sure people are unable to finish my level because the stupid paint guns keep glitching and refusing to fire - and you need them in order to progress to the next section. And if that happens, then half my plasma alarms stop working - as do

A game for kids...?

by BabyDoll1970 on 09-04-2009 at 02:06 AM
Welcome, BabyDoll1970, to your first ever blog! I warmly welcome you as the first and possibly only reader and hope that you find your own thoughts insightful and in some way inspiring : )

My brief time here on LBPC has revealed that not only am I not the only (physically) 'mature' LBP player/creator, but many of the very best levels being put out there are by those classified as 'adults' (18 years and over... no offence to any younger creators - I did say MOST, not all). As I said
