..so I always go to a shoot armed with 2 bodies and lenses attached. So for pretty pics, I use the 17-35mm on one body and the 70-200mm on the other. For sports, I put the 200-400mm back on.

Quite insane huh? ...anyway.. if you have never seen my site. www.jwwphotos.com

One D3 has a Nikon 200-400mm F4 VR lens attached which is a horribly amazing tack sharp lens with incredibly fast auto-focus. The other has my trusty Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR. Amazingly sharp and ridiculously fast auto-focus. I also have an incredible wide angle zoom that I use when I shoot pretty pics and mount my Nikon 17-35 F2.8. I will be doing that soon as I want to do some more architecture photos. We have a newly built art district where I live and noticed several restaurants seem to have quite a few pics of it. I want to do some really good ones and have them available on my site.
  6. What camera do I use? Yikes.. scary to go there. Be very afraid!!! Shooting sports basically means way too much $$. I have 4 DLSR bodies. 2 are older Nikon D2Hs, one of which I take with me as a backup. I just never got around to selling them when I upgraded. I currently use 2 Nikon D3's.

  7. I've heard of lightbox. I think it is a simpler bit of software for macs that is more for managing photos. Lightroom is quite powerful where you can make adjustments and actually manage your entire photo workflow and runs on either platform. There might be something else that would be more suited for you until you jumped to the DSLR stage though that ran on macs. Seems like aperture is made for macs and a bit cheaper?
  8. Hi again! Hey, I was pretty impressed with your pics. Not sure what you are using as far as camera gear, but you might look into some post production stuff if you are really interested in stepping things up a notch. I use Adobe Lightroom. It is a bit expensive, but cheaper than cameras or lenses and can make a huge difference in shots. Much cheaper than Photoshop and more tuned to photography. Not sure if you are already doing any post production work, but thought I would mention it. Photoshop is obviously great for that too, but I use Lightroom 99.9% of the time over photoshop as I find photoshop more towards graphics creation rather than simply working with photos. Hope that makes sense! Later!
  9. Okie dokie, bai!
  10. thanks for fixing the problem!

Perceptions of Power

by BabyDoll1970 on 06-18-2010 at 02:09 AM
The experience of becoming a moderator has been an interesting one so far. The most bizarre aspect of 'interesting' has been how, all of a sudden, I have people I've never spoken to - or even met before - visiting my profile page and sending me psn requests. I was told that would happen, and I have no problem with that whatsoever, everyone's been really nice and it's been fun getting to know other people in the community ... I'm assuming that it's simply a case of my having been dragged out of

Locked in frustration!!

by BabyDoll1970 on 09-18-2009 at 11:49 PM
Yesterday I locked my 'Art Vandals!' level because I was so angry at the recurring GLITCHES!!

"What can I do?!" I exclaimed to the TV - and, not surprisingly - it didn't offer me a single helpful suggestion. Probably because it's a Samsung. I'm sure people are unable to finish my level because the stupid paint guns keep glitching and refusing to fire - and you need them in order to progress to the next section. And if that happens, then half my plasma alarms stop working - as do

A game for kids...?

by BabyDoll1970 on 09-04-2009 at 02:06 AM
Welcome, BabyDoll1970, to your first ever blog! I warmly welcome you as the first and possibly only reader and hope that you find your own thoughts insightful and in some way inspiring : )

My brief time here on LBPC has revealed that not only am I not the only (physically) 'mature' LBP player/creator, but many of the very best levels being put out there are by those classified as 'adults' (18 years and over... no offence to any younger creators - I did say MOST, not all). As I said
