I usually pick story sections of movies/games/books that I've seen recently and mix them into a new story. My story already included Call of Duty, BioShock, Uncharted, some unknown movies. I came up with the zombie idea after getting addicted to this music. And I watched "Megamind" today and already had some pretty cool ideas for action scenes. (Including cutting a building in half, making the upper half fall on our heroes! Now I need to blend that into the story...)
