I was thinking and realised it would (probably) be a great addition!
I thought of it when I was building BlackHairedGoon a house, and I had to sticker on bricks.
It would be much easier to have a material of Brick.
What do you think?:)

Oh yes... bricks are something I was surprised not to find as a material in story mode. It seems this game is full of more unique materials than average ones... much like the costume pieces.
Yes!!! I'm picturing the standard orangey bricks. Before i've had to make a rectangle and sticker some orange onto it. Then copy and paste again and again, which takes up massive amounts of thermometer space. This is definatley a good idea :)
A brick material is a definite must. In the interim, I created some stickers to handle this.
Also Leather-Monkeys, what I did to reduce Thermo is create a wall with 20 stickers of brick, then took a photo of all 20, so 1 sticker will now do the job of 20.

I agree, bricks would be great!
I usually eyetoy the textures from this site for any materials we don't yet have, they've got pretty much everything covered.

While it does take a bit of messing about with the contrast and brightness, they can look really effective. :)
i just use a orangey material in rectangles and push them together like real bricks but i can never be bothered to build on lbp anymore...
Appreciate the tip and the site! I've usually been creating things I need like folks do their costume stickers and text stickers. This will be pretty handy!!
I agree brick would be really nice. I would love to see a few more ordinary looking materials. Brick would be a perfect start to some new ones.
Great idea!
It would be a great addiction.
Bricks are a must!!!!!!!!
General things like this should be released in a big creators pack, giving us a lot more general building materials and objects/decorations to go with the crazy stuff MM have already put into the game..........
I believe there is a red brick looking material in the cardboard section. An odd place for it but I remember being exactly what I needed in a level I've been working on as I needed bricks the player could slide around.
Brick materials would look very nice. Plus they would help conserve therometer energy.
