- 100% custom content. This level is unlike any you have seen if I'm doing my job correctly.

The next level will be the last.. and a very big boss battle

This is probably one of the longest levels in LBP.

Ooooh.... it's out! I'm on it tonight!

I'm sad that every great thing must come to an end. This level is absolutely HUGE and can be alot to handle in one sitting, challenging, and tough to get through, but it is a perfect and epic way to end the story arc. The storyline and writing is just something else, and what I've realized about the art style in this series is that it LOOKS like your flash work. It's a feat to get something in another medium, that's 3D dimensional and more constrained to look and feel like your natural creative environment. I played it with you last night, but I'll play it today now that you've published it... I hope you continue to update and improve all the episodes with more content, and more polish as you always have. Can't wait for the animation, and your next series :D

For now though - high speed vehicular platforming = genius

I think I'm stuck at the section where you obtain the builders greatest invention, I keep grabbing that thing but nothing happens.

I love how as soon as I post this it works, nevermind...

Umm so I had to restart the level because I forgot to manually override a section of the debris, it was probably the one to the far right that I couldn't see because right when I grabbed the paintinator I didn't go explore to the right to see if there wasn't anything I had to shoot down there, so I shot all the ones I needed.

And I had forgotten debris #1 so I dropped down, and accidentally activated the infinite checkpoint.

After that I just got off because I had to go eat, I'll make sure to finish it when I get back on. But I just wanted to let you know that this could be a problem.

I played the beginning. Loved it. I think this level is going to be amazing once a few kinks are worked out.

One thing I think is a pretty big problem, however, is that the vehicle isn't emitted. Twice in a row it broke on me and I ended up back at the checkpoint just before getting in the vehicle... with no vehicle.

My suggestion is to put the checkpoint before entering it a bit to the left, and put a 1-shot sensor switch that creates the vehicle when entering this spot. That way the area "resets" itself if you die. It should take a couple minutes to implement at most.

Im going try to do what you said as I'd rather have it emiited anyway, it's just been a problem with that vehicle, sometimes it would emit without working controls =-o

It's kind of hard to break that thing, I have only done it myself maybe once or twice ... just be careful with it!

EDIT: Well, I just tried that and it sent the temperature off the charts. I don't think you understand how complicated and "compressed" my level is. There's so much stuff in it, I'm surprised it works and the colors don't disappear or anything. So unfortuantely, I can't emit the vehicle. It goes with the story though, if Sackboy dies in Chamber 18, whether it be in the vehicle or not, he has to start over. After a while, I start to think that it's up to the gamer to get the thing there in one piece.

Hmmm.... are you sure you set the emitted number at once set to 1? Generally, simply having the vehicle in as an emitted object instead of physically being there doesn't raise the thermo. When you did it what was the thermo overheat message being displayed? I'm not sure exactly why, but the first 2 times I played it the vehicle broke on the fall near the beginning of the ride. 3rd time it worked fine.

Anyhoo.... got through the whole thing, and once again I was absolutely mesmerized. Loved the story, LOVED the dialogue, and it took me into another world for awhile - I was glued to it from beginning to end.

At first I was going to complain about some of the darkness - but the design was just right to get me through, and the darkness just added to the suspense so I have no complaint here.

5 stars and a heart. Now you've REALLY got me on the edge of my seat for the ending.

The thing with the temperature is that it's so out of whack at this point, if I click on something very big, the temperature increases and the level overheats. I've gotten to the point where I can't detach things because it sends the temperature skyrocketing... it's been a tricky process :P

Can't wait to show off the animation to LBP fans, it's gunna be way different than people expect.

Any story arc that takes 20 levels to tell is worth me buying into.

I'll come back with words once I finish all 20.

Yeah, let me know. It has like 40 plays now. I'm starting think that until the animation comes out no one will care about my stupid series.

It's using engaging literature and abstract art to tell an interactive story. It's challenging, deep, lengthy, and requires a discerning eye to navigate and appreciate it. It's a towering achievement IMO and stands as one of the only examples of niche, almost highbrow art on LBP. It's the only thing on LBP that's even close to being a complete game unto itself, separate from what the core game is, and built an identity of it's own without incorporating influence from any other creator. It makes all of us seem unproductive and less creative with the work ethic behind it, and it's sheer volume of totally out-there qualities. I don't think anybody could emulate this if they tried.

...but, it's going to be something people either get, or they don't - wex said to me one time, about being proud you made something definitive, if not popular. I definitely think the animation will be the icing on the cake, and is only another reason you should get a long overdue crown for being awesome.

... plus, having thousands of eyes staring at you out of the dark is an uneasy feeling. I like uneasy feelings.

I understand NinjaMicWZ's sentiment behind saying "you get it or you don't", but I'd change that to, "you LIKE it or you don't". "Getting" something is the sort of thing one does whilst looking down one's nose at the unwashed, which I try really hard not to do. The unwashed have enough problems without my domineering gaze.

I'm currently on level 7. I can tell that this series was designed carefully and with much effort. More effort, I'll admit, than anything I've ever done.

As of right now, I'm totally hooked to see this through to the end. This is because of the visuals and story, and not at all because of the gameplay. I find the gameplay to be full of innovative concepts, but ultimately designed to infuriate me with deaths I sometimes earn through my own ineptitude, deaths I win from being flung out of camera range into something I can't react to in time, and deaths I sometimes can't see or explain.

Lest you despair that this is some sort of random bashery, Snowspot, please let me say that I have assumed I am simply Not Your Audience. These levels are, I can tell, a rich vein of some sort of shiny metal.

I've tried to note some tidbits anywhere that I think my input would improve the levels in a way that would match my perception of your INTENT. I have no desire to just wave my hand at your work and remake it in my image.

I have left (and will leave) specific comments to this effect on each one of the levels I've played where I came up with a concrete suggestion. I'll offer some final words, also, when I've finished the story.

I'll leave off, for now, echoing NinjaMicWZ's sentiment once more, that it's far better to be definitive than popular, and I'm actually a bit sad that your talent doesn't seem to be aimed more closely at me...as I expect a lot of people are ready for your story, who may not be able to make all of your jumps.

I finished the whole series of levels yesterday over the course of 3 days and they were all brilliant. I was interested by the strange, massive storyline and it all played great. It's a shame, however, that all the levels are so overlooked and underrated.It was unique how you never really saw the other characters (well, apart from when 'the builder' passed out but the same object was used for the sackboy).
I wouldn't reccomend it for very young players or people who don't like long storylines. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart for every level in the series.
