LBP Voice Over - HHGTTG

Okay so I'm sure a lot of people haven't read or seen or listened to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Okay, shutup I'm trying to turn this into a LBP thread. I'm focusing on the Movie here so here's a trailer.

Doesn't the, person I shall name The Guide, have a striking resemblance to the announcer on LBP?

Just a little thought that like most other threads would have no actual benefit.

And go read the book at least so you can learn how to hit the ground without actually hitting the ground, and accomplish, flight.

And yes I am a Sci Fi nut if you can tell from my signature which is a reference to the episode Blink from Doctor who.

He used to do a lot of comedy with Hugh Laurie (from House).

And he's a technophile, which of course means that he's a really active twitterer. Really one of the few people on Twitter worth following.

I wrote that 10 minutes after watching the episode and still got it wrong. Didn't think anyone would get me. grrrr =P

Edit: See now, caught up in the moment I just bought the Soundtrack, the Blu-Ray (very happy to see it got to blu ray) and a towel. Well the towel is one I'm bidding on. *loads shotgun* It's my towel by the way.

And I was going to write and you'll be dead I remember but they zap you back in time. Which does result in death but I thought get you was it.

Well, I love Doctor Who and Blink in particular — one of the best TV episodes ever written — and I do have a tendency towards being anally retentive. :p Don't get your panties in a bunch over it. It's an honest and understandable mistake to have made, and now that you've corrected it (amost) no-one will know. :cool:

Like the doctor said I look at time like a linear path. And that it's actually a ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff. Was that supposed to make sense? It's about time so I'd say it would :p

Stephen Fry is Awesome. Outside of the UK he doesn't seem to be that well known, but he's doe a few films and suchlike (V for Vendetta springs to mind and he's in the upcoming Alice in Wonderland film)

I can't help but think he'd be a fascinating man to meet as well - he's just so incredibly intelligent.

Yea it's weird and I much prefer the BBC Radio Drama version but it's HHGTTG and I can't help but love it. Campiness and all. :)

I find it odd when people don`t know who he is. Obviously he`s not well known outside the UK, but I know people here who were excited about LBP purely because he was providing the voice over.

Having Stephen Fry being the voice of LBP was the cherry on the cake for me. :)

Stephen Fry is a massive fan of Led Zeppelin, if anyone is interested...

If I ever needed to have someone narrate my life, it would, for a fact, be Stephen Fry.
