New Glitch - Crashes PS3

I found a new glitch (I believe).

Basically, I have a Sticker that I made by using my EyeToy and for some reason it turned invisible in the Popit.

I decided to try and use it, but instead of being the sticker I thought it was going to be, it was just black.

I placed it down, and this is where it gets weird... nothing seemed to happen.
Except... when I went back to the object.
Every sticker on the piece of material had disappeared.

That didn't seem too bad... but then I went into Create Mode and placed it down. Again, nothing happened, until I changed into Play mode.

When I attempted to select the sticker in Play mode, my PS3 crashed. Not just the game... my entire system. PLUS, all the changes I'd made to the level I was working on earlier (in the same play session) had disappeared when I loaded up again.

I have no idea how this happened, so I can't say how to recreate it... but it is pretty annoying.

I've had eye cam stickers act funny before also, but I have never had this happen.

That really sucks. That's weird that the SAVED changes you made were effected by this sticker issue. I really don't know what to think. This is one of those few glitches that are bad, like the one MM already fixed where your sack person can be stuck in a continuous spawn loop.

EDIT: Wait, did you say eye toy? You can't use the Eye Toy with the PS3.

The only time it has ever happened to me is when I try and select other peoples stickers that they took with their Eye cams. It doesn't happen all the time but it has happened quite a few times. There are quite a few glitches in this game that cause the PS3 to crash and those are the ones I personally HATE (with passion) the most!

Not true, I'm using an eye toy as an alternative for the PSeye now.

Yep, I'm using an EyeToy.

I've also noticed pictures took with the PSEye and EyeToy are a bit odd, but I've never known them delete other stickers, or indeed, crash the PS3 completely.

Wow. I learned something. Lol. Where ever I read this obviously didn't know what they were talking about since an Eye Toy, as I now know, can be used with PS3. My mistake. I was misinformed.

Anyways, yeah, that is one thing bad about LBP. I don't remember the last time I played a game as buggy as LBP.

hmm. Im off topic, but are there are any other differences between the two in lbp, loke is the eye toy better?

The Eye Toy is probably a bit outdated, as it was meant for the Playstation 2, I believe the PSeye has higher quality but I could be wrong...

I know morgana had a thread started about this or very similiar... herehttp://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15554 as well half of my custom eye stickers disappeared but still occupied space in my pop-it... I never would have thought to try placing them though...

Just thought I'd add that the Eye Toy can be used as a microphone too.

I've never seen this glitch before in any Eye Toy pictures I've took.

Better resolution, integrated mic, ability to send uncompressed video to the system, more sensitive motion sensors, two-switch zoom levels. And it has a sleeker design, IMO.

Yes, it does. ;) I have no idea what the quality is like, though, since I use a headset for voice chat.

Edit: Oh, I just now read EyeToy. I can't remember, but you might be right.

(Goes to order an appointment with the optician. Obviously in desperate need of new glasses...)

The resolution's actually the same. Bit pants really. :confused:

Oh! Well, the Playstation Eye does have a much sharper picture than the EyeToy, but that's probably due to the EyeToy compressing the picture, I guess.

It's bad. It's constantly fuzzy and sometimes plays high pitched tones. If you record something into it it comes out quiet and shakey. I tried playing Rock Band 2 with it and it doesn't listen to you at all, it just goes all over the place because it picks up fuzzy sounds. [/offtopic]

Yes, you can use eyetoy with PS3, I use it with mine

Actually, I've seen the opposite in a quality comparison level. But back on topic, I've encountered a similar glitch with a Buzz! sticker in someone else's level. Only for me it crashed when I selected it, and that's all. I don't have the Buzz! pack. Maybe this is a problem with sticker piracy prevention? What happens when you remove a sticker from a pack you don't own? Are you able to select it at all? Because otherwise people could steal stickers by slapping them on their sackboys.

As soon as you select it - it gets deleted.
