My Second level of the "Ghost of Sparta" series, you don't have to play the other level before this. They are different levels around the same theme.

About a month or two ago I came with the idea to make some sort of underworld or hell.. Since there were so many bad levels with the word Hell in it I decided to make it more like the underworld of Hades. Dark with alot of smoke and dust instead of fire and volcanoes ;) Now after weeks of work i've finally finished the level :p Have fun!

Dude...this level is awesome!! :)

I loved the first one, I love this one even more.
You stepped away from the source material (GOW) a bit more in this one, which I really appreciated.

Some of the pros:
+ Great Graphics & atmosphere
+ Great characters
+ Soundesign
+ Solid platforming
+ One wicked bossfight
+ Great use of mythology
+ Neat way of combining the words 'sparta' & 'part' in the titles.

A stunningly beautiful level with great atmosphere and awesome character design.
The bossfight was awesome, those heads look very cool indeed!! Cerberus never looked this good before!!

This also brings me to my only con and what I would also like to call a bug:
You only have to destroy 2 of the heads to be able to continue to the scoreboard.

I never managed to make the rock drop on the 2nd head, what I did manage was to get it to tip over
so I could use it as a platform to head over to the right and destroy the 3rd head of Cerberus.

It seems only the destruction of the last head triggers the mechanism which makes you continue the level.


An awesome level which really makes me wish for more, much more, from you as a creator.

Thanks for the awesome feedback Zwollie! Im glad you enjoyed my level, after a few weeks of playing it myself I was starting to dislike it more and more so its good to see I was wrong :p Too bad you had a problem with the heads of Cerberus, i'll fix that problem right away.. probably has something to do with one of the billion magnetic key switches I've got on those heads :grr:

I finally found it! Huzzah!

I loved it. The opening scene was fantastic, and I didn't want it to end. The middle was just some standard platforming, not anything to extraordinary, but that column puzzle in the middle. Oh wow! That was awesome. I sat there scratching my head for a minute before figuring it out. Really, really, really, really awesome puzzle!

Cerberus looked fantastic, and I loved the little boss battle. The breath seemed like it extended too far to the left, though. It seemed like I should be able to grab [you know what], but the breath just barely snuck past the left edge. The way you actually kill it was very clever, and I liked the camera shake when you move the boulder. I could be very nitpicky and say that the tail section looked a bit tacky compared to the rest. Also, I would've liked to see Cerberus breath fire, and not plasma, but I will overlook that detail.

Also, nice sticker work with the grunge sticker to create a dirty, cave material.

5 stars and a heart.

ok i just played this lvl and i love it the boss is really cool :) a heart and 5 stars :D

Played though this and it's awesome. Loved it but wanted to let you know My group found a glitch in the level. Right before the Cerebus area there's a checkpoint. My friend pulled the thing to take out the first head and when it crashed down there was a material breaking sound and the entire floor turned to that material you can fall through even though it's visible. I think it was a freak thing but if it happens the level breaks as you continually respawn and fall though the floor.

I played it two other times without incident so I'm not sure how bad this is.

Darn, that sounds like a major problem.. You say the killing of the first head causes it so i'll probaby redo that section because i've got no idea how it can break the foor :cry: I saw a picture on my level of three people standing on the ground and i had no idea how they managed to do that :p

Yea, the first head took out the floor on the right. Made it fall through. Also the other time I made it through we only did the last 2 heads and it let us through. Might wanna check that too.

The intro was fantastic, well done. My favourite bit of gameplay was the column puzzle, I've not seen that before and Cerberus was a great boss.

I too had the falling through the floor issue, but it only happened a couple of times. I'm guessing it could be a strange glitch with the gas going through the floor in that area. I'd try two things - lifting the spawn point a little higher, maybe the player is spawning below a glitched detection line. Or try making the piece of material you spawn onto seperate to the piece that the gas is interacting with. See if that helps..?

Anyway, very nice level, looking forward to Three!

Amazing! I've played this with you and tested lots and each time you improve. That or I just missed loads of things and wasn't concentrating...But that was just one occation :p lol jk, But seriously, very awesome work, I never actually got to try the boss in the end so I'll talk about it now:

- The idea is great! Those heads ripped off beautifully :)
- The rock part is another cool idea, although it's a little hard to push.
- The blood was win!

I'll have to keep this short since I'm currently in school, but I'll just quickly say that it's awesome and beautiful!
