Mountain Rescue!
Mountain Rescue! by Tobbelias
The search for a missing child takes you across snowy peaks and through perilous caves.
Hi guys. I'm new to LBPcentral and only recently started playing LBP again. I was one of the lucky people who got to play with the BETA version. When the final version came out I had already made a few lvls in the BETA but deleted em. This lvl i worked on for the better part of a week a while ago. I just read the comments I've gotten on my lvl and people seem to really like it. A couple of them told me to post in different forums to get more people to experience my lvl. So I'm doing just that. :)
I'm thinking of starting to create lvls again, but before I spend too much time some feedback on this my "first" lvl would be greatly appreciated.
Apparently my lvl have been youtubed as well if you are too lazy to play it. ;) Thx a lot to Chimpanzee for that!

I thought that the puzzle with the moving platform and the ball was really cool!

Notes From Play:
Breaking bridges work very well – functionally and stylistically
Was just thinking “where’s the music” when it finally kicked on.
Had to get a rolling start to bean bag cylinder to get it to push the lever. Nice ride over lava bed.
Good spike trap. Was close to feeling out of place, but it worked well and was a nice added challenge.
Nice overall.
Lighting:
Great utilization of lightning throughout. Nothing seemed out of place. Was not too light or dark at any place.
Sound:
Excellent use of sound effects
Music fit mood nicely once it kicked on
Theme:
Background and obstacles matched the levels theme. Good utilization of mixture of types of challenges.
Artistic:
Outstanding use of three planes in landscape – gave variety to pathway within smaller areas.
Cave picture stickers worked well in background to prevent all the boulder from just looking like monotonous rock.
Pro’s:
Original landscape
Excellent use of sound and lightning
Good mix of type of obstacles
Con’s:
Very easy with few overall challenges
End seemed almost abrupt (as if couldn’t think of how to close it out) and snowballs pose no danger.
