A Moderation Idea for LBP's Levels
I came up with this idea after replying to a thread based on Vandz's level about how Cool Pages functions. Thinking this topic was out of place, I decided to put it here.
Right now, we have our moderation requests being sent out to officials at Sony, who remove them for inspection - most times, unfairly. Many quality levels have fallen to the corrupted system.
My idea is the implementation of Arbiters - people who actively play the game and therefore know the ins and outs of it. In this system, a level/action would be reported to an Arbiter, who then reviews it and deals penalty where it is due - if the report is justified, as the arbiter will know, it shall be dealt with. If the report is false or malicious, the reporter will be dealt with appropriately.
My idea came from the multiplayer PS3 game Warhawk. It functions on a similar system - if a player is cheating somehow, they are reported to an arbiter (who, I remind you, plays the game themselves) who then deals punishment.
Your thoughts (and harsh, relentless, brutal criticisms) of this system are welcome. Or, hey, you can form your own ideas.
