USA has successfully invaded UK
Currently all UK citizens have been urged to move to London. The USA has already taken control of Wales and the South West of England while Norway and Sweden are breaching the boarders of Scotland and North East England respectively. The UK is on its last stand by moving all citizens to London to create 'Fortress London'. The president of the USA has already promised the UK government a 'tanking duel in the streets'. Day 805 in the New World is proving tough for the citizens of the UK.
eRepublik is a rapidly growing online game set in the real world. You create a citizen, settle within a country, get a job, start a news paper, dabble in world politics, start a few wars, liberate a few countries, write a newspaper, become president. The rest of the world evolves around you as you play. Countries fight and conquer, expanding into territories which weren't originally their own until a resistance war is started.
It's not exactly hard to explain, it's just so intriguing and involving that words don't do it justice. Even so you can spend 5 minutes a day on it and still be extremely good at it so it's not time consuming like WoW.
