Just wanted to say that I redownloaded it and rehearted it :D Please play this level everyone!!!
Hi jeffcu, I still haven't downloaded the new version of the level, tonight I hope to do it.
But just wanted to say that I've recommended the level to some people... and everyone is getting stuck at the clouds part.
Hey amazingflyingpoo, thanks for all your support. Unfortunately, I think I may have to republish it yet once again as people are still having problems with that cloud puzzle. :(
Lleonard, thank you again for taking the time for helping make this level work. I have also posted this level in other forums, and people do seem to still get stuck on that part. I love that puzzle to death, and I'm really hesitant to get rid of it. I think the problem is exactly how you and Arrestor put it: the dynamic background that precedes the scene just makes people not realize that there is actually a puzzle there.
I'll wait for you to give the official word on the level once you play it, and I'm all ears to your suggestions. You are an amazing artist with a good eye when it comes to form and function. Puzzles, in my opinion, are meant to confuse people a bit and reward them for thinking up the solution, but at the end of the day, I want people to have a good experience with my level, let alone finish it.
I'm thinking about placing a cutscene to where the balls are falling off on the first cloud, as well as placing that "target-ish" sticker at the very end of the path. Do you think this will be sufficient?
Thanks again for all your detailed feedback and concerns,
jeffcu28
The logo wasn't that bad at all.
I guess I'll redownload and reheart it

Hey everyone,
I sincerely apologize for those who replayed my level and rehearted. You guys are the best, but unfortunately, I had to republish once again because people were still not getting past the cloud puzzle. I added a cutscene, minimal dialogue, sounds, and an additional sticker to give a big HINT HINT without giving it away completely.
To do this, I had to delete something to open up some thermo. Some have expressed their concern over the LBPC logo, so I decided to delete it :(.
In its place, I constructed a new painting entitled Koi Pond. It's more Japanese than Chinese, but I feel it carries the spirit of the level. I'm really glad I got to include the koi fish, as I had planned them originally to be in the ripple pond area. Anyways, I dedicate it to everyone who pointed out the unforeseen problems: salieri, fastbro, famouscustard, Arrestor, CyberSora, wizball-23, spark151, TheNerd, and especially Lleonard Pler. This painting is for you guys, so please give it another go and pat yourself in the back while watching the koi fishes swim...
Ohhhhm,
jeffcu28
Just in time on that too. I was getting a couple more levels downloaded for another recording session (I already had the original downloaded), when I saw yours on newest levels. wondering why it was republished.
But I loved Okami so this level brought back fond memories :)
Whew! Hehe. Thanks for doing this once again JKThree...you are one awesome person. ;)
wow!
even better than the first two times :)
great job
I really like the addition of the koi fish. As much as I hate to admit it, I think it was worth getting rid of the LBPC logo. I know it was a tough call but for my money I think you made the right choice.
The clues and sounds you added to the cloud puzzle are also very good and make a huge difference. 5 more stars and another heart! ;)
Just by seeing the screenshot, I can tell the koi painting looks fantastic, and fits the level both in aesthetics and gameplay of that part, it feels natural. Well done.
I can't wait to go back home and play your level, expect some feedback once I finish it (for the very first time).
replayed, restared and rehearted! Everything works fine now.
This pretty amazing level desrves more feedback than this, and at some point I'll write more to you about it Jeff, but for now I'll just say this is probably the best PSP level to date - five stars and a million hearts! :D
Lleonard, I'm glad you like it! I remember the guilt I felt when I first broke the news to you that I wasn't doing Japanese anymore but Chinese instead. So that koi pond definitely has your influence on it! I'll be looking forward to hearing your full review later, now that everything, hopefully, has been fixed...
Thanks for replaying Arrestor, you're awesome! And thanks for catching all those bugs earlier on. You're really good with finding those!
Wow, Coxy, thanks for the huge compliment. I personally wouldn't consider this the "best," but I'm really flattered you think so. I'll be on a lookout for that full review. And it has also been a while since you posted a new level :(. Please make more!
Best,
jeffcu28
Thanks! I will accept the dedication gladly ^_^
I have to tell you, Jeffcu, that I hate you just a little bit. See, I just don't have the vision or originality to make something as beautiful as this level. I should be celebrating your talent but actually it just makes me a bit angry... ;)
I was about to download your newest version but my battery just died. There will be hearts and stars when I do, though, I assure you (angry ones)
So I did finish this twice and I have to say it was a marvel to play and look at. I felt the way you used stickers and the corner edit tool was fantastic and you level design was great also. 2 things I had issues with was first with the paint brush I had to sometimes to fly over an area almost 3 times for it to finally register and my second complaint was that that last speech bubble I was never able to read it since after I grabbed on to the paintbrush I died. I think if you made the radius on whatever you used a bit bigger it would help on the painting section and with the speech bubble if you made a slight delay to the grab switch I could have read it. Now even with these minor complaints this was a fantastic level 5 :star: and a heart.
Hi, jeffcu28! Only few words - you are genius! I can not imagine how big and excellent is your imagination, that create such beautiful level. My great respect and innumerable number of stars and heart! Very cool! So many cool level in one time, I cann't believe in it, creators level made big jump ahead. Thanks again for your work!
Ok, I had some problems during my first experience with this level. Despite enjoying it (at least, the part that I could play before getting stuck), I felt like the level could (and should!) be better than it was, if that makes sense. Well, I already posted my constructive criticism here and shared more feedback with jeffcu in private.
Now, with all the changes done, I can say that this is the most stylish level in LBP PSP, and definitely one of the best too.
-Outstanding visuals and effects: the palace is beautiful, yes but once you reach the ink-world area... wow. (The koi pond looks great, by the way, and I liked how you tied it into the gameplay.)
-Simple, intuitive and yet innovative puzzles (the clouds puzzle is perfect now)
-Considerable length.
-Excellent pacing: when you think you've seen everything, there are still plenty of surprises waiting.
You're not only a good creator (specially when you understood that some changes were needed and didn't hesitate to find solutions and republish the level), you're also an artist and I can't thank you enough for creating this incredible level.
