Like, incredibly hard... Yet, for some reason is just calls for me, over and over again... What a masochist, eh? It's so awesome though. The one thing I like most about it is the music! For being 8-bit bleeps and bloops it really is amazing. Sooo, SO catchy. Now, to give it time until an ocremix.org mix is out... Or a remix by someone else. :p
Yeah Megaman does that to people <_< I'm a big fan of the series xD I've finished the X series (Hoping for more D: ); Megaman's Legend 1 & 2(They need to make a 3 already..) and some of the classic megaman games.

but i mean they need more check points and in a way the gamplay is VERY similar to lbp you could make a mega man 9 lbp level
Yeah I have the collections of Mega Man and they are hard. Too bad they don't make games as hard as they use to. Like I noticed people excpect checkpoints on LBP, whatever happened to the enjoyment of when you die you start over, Mario was like this, you die it starts over to the start of the level. People are weak now and expect save points now.
Yep. Thing is though, on LBP you're counting on your teammates, so THEY might use up all your lives even if you're really good. I suppose that's why there's lots of checkpoints there. :]Quote:

I downloaded the MEGA MAN 9 demo. It is extremely difficult. There aren't nearly enough abilities to dodge those friggin owls, or whatever the heck they are! Really old games are very hard. I can't beat any of my Sega Genesis games. :) It's probably because modern games give you more abilities that make the game easier. So it's still the same difficulty, but more abilities are there to make it more doable. :p

and yes. it is extremely hard. i bought it outright, no trying the demo. huge megaman fan. had the first one when it first came out. thought i'd be good at it from years of playing the others. apparently i just knew the levels so well that it became easy.
10 years from NOW i'll probably be really good at megaman 9, lol

It's The Third Mega Man game i played. (3,8 & 9)
I've tried various Mega Man games through the years. I could never get into them. As one reviewer said over Mega Man 9, it's an exercise in level memorization, not actual skill. And now that I watch through that video recently posted...yeah. Not my kind of game. I like stressing adaptability in games. Not insane levels of memorization that don't actually do any good if the thing completely switches up on you.
but that is how megaman has always been. extreme memorization.
the newer ones are just too **** easy. it is good to see 9 keeping to it's roots in being bat-as* hard.
i dunno, i still love it. can't play it for more than about 20 min at a time, but i'm getting to bosses now where i wasn't before. haha

It's hard for a game to be frustratingly difficult and incredibly addictive at the same time but Megaman pulls it off.
Megaman games aren't hard, it's just most of the games we play nowadays are too easy. :/
For example, go into the arcade and play Donkey Kong, you'll see what I mean.
Also, as a note, I do like Megaman, it's just not my favorite game ever.
