Personally i feel they ruined the Weeping Angels as soon as they tried to expand them. The Shadows around them were what made them the scariest monster ever.

The trailer didn't get me that excited, they showed far too much of the cowboy story arc and not enough short clips of the others. I know they want the new companion and the stories with her to be 'secret' but they could still show some more couldn't they?
Only thing that interested me was the (presumably) Dalek eye stalk at the end, didn't they say the Daleks were taking a break? Or could they not get through customs?
I really hope they dont bring back Daleks this season.

They did well to manage to give them a single season off (excluding a brief cameo in the finale)
They go a whole season and they acknowledge this remarkable feat with "yup we went a whole season (roughly), that gives us enough reason to put them in the first episode".
ANYWAY I'm still stoked for it, it seems so long since the last season ended.
We still don't know what they look like when moving. Though I agree that watching them move at all ruins their creepiness slightly, I think the Doctor mentions at some point that the angels wouldn't be sure if she was looking at them or not, hence why they remained in their stone form, but watched Amy walk past to check it she was looking at them or not.Quote:

I may have that completely wrong but yeah. I always envisioned the angels looking totally grotesque in their normal form, not looking like their stone form in the slightest. But I'd prefer it if we never found out. :)
If that's the case, then nevermind. I just thought they were actually showing that when the weeping Angela move at any time, they still look like weeping angels. I do agree, the idea of them being some weird creature, but without them ever revealing what they really might look like.Quote:

Also, I also kinda like the idea that the angels remain angel like in appearance constantly... it would add a layer of depth to the show suggesting that humans didn't just randomly dream of angels (actually statues =p) and that they have been among us for a long time... but thats just my opinion XD

As for the Daleks coming back in ep 1... well I'd like them to do something interesting, like the Human Dalek (The 50/50 version rather than the budget mostly human one) in Manhatten episode... but sadly they probably won't
