Woah...Creepy. COINCIDENCE?
God I haven't even started psyntens' last contest prize and it's 2am...I'd better start now. I was too distracted by how great it is that Cole got his old look back for inFAMOUS 2.

Whew. Now I'm on schedule.
Awesome drawings Zim! I like the green one the best. The expression on the last sackgirl's doll is soo funny! Can't wait for more drawings. After these I think you should have a long break, you've been working a lot overtime for everyone here and you deserve one holiday without a ton of pestering people. :)
Wow! Both the new drawings are amazing!
lookin gooooooood hah

For Cokuruscana at deviantART. Took me a couple hours. I'll see if I can get StealthyHawaiian's contest prize done tonight.
Zomg it's too awsumz!!
I appreciate the compliments, but sometimes I wish I'd get a little more feedback than "nice" or "awesome". I'd like some critique every now and then...Where's SR20DETDOG when you need him?
Well, the drawing doesn't fit the clouds and it seems a bit... empty.
the body is well formed (though the wings look as if you forgot or something, not enough detail IMO)
and the swirling cloud backround looks nice (although the platform where the dragon is on is not that detailed as well...sort of rushed in a way but its not the main part in the picture so its not such a big deal)
the facial features are superb and the shine you give the gems was a nice touch
so how am i doing so far in terms of critique?
In response to the wings, that is what the wings look like as the original artist, Cokuruscana, draws them.
The platform was meant to have a few sprigs of grass and rocks scattered about, but I wasn't going to go really fancy because it was an art trade. As in, she draws my character and I draw hers. Her drawing of my character was pretty simple (though I really liked it) so I didn't want to go overboard in detail with this one. I appreciate your critique, though, it's far more satisfying than "cool".
@shadow
That's quite alright, I understand. :)
@Jsp0t
I don't see what you mean by how the drawing doesn't fit the clouds...Care to explain with more detail?
As for the emptiness, see my above explanation in response to shadowcrazy's critique. Thanks though.
That is osme nice drawing she made for you!!!
looks like a fair art trade if you ask me :)

Since it was so simple, I decided to go with colored lines. Barely took me any time, too. Only half an hour.
-Le gasp- It's an apple!
Awesome drawing though! Really love how he's doing the hula. You should have given him a coconut bra... :p
I love both the new drawings! I love the cloud effect that you have on the orange dragon drawing and it kinda looks like they are swirling upward towards something. And then the dragon is looking up towards it. The ground looks great too! Although it's a bit reflective. Oh well, it just might be going with the theme. The pineapple is great too!
The colored lines on the latest one make it look so smooth...
Very well done, I bet you could make a nice background to go with it :)
-Well, the main thing I don't like about it is the rock. It's in the foreground, and it should look solid and detailed as opposed to the foggy background, the clouds. As for the detail, its simplicity can make it seem out of place. Its border could be thicker and less smooth if you wanted to add emphasis to the toughness of the rock, in the same way that the soft lines on the dragon make it look furry. It's not too believable in terms of 3-dimensionality. The sky has the great effect of swirling clouds, the dragon has a great form, but the rock is just a depth-less shape. I think some kind of pattern of scratches would bring depth to the rock.
-I don't really like the way the tail is positioned. It feels a little claustrophobic, and it makes the tail harder to see. If the tail was stretched out, it would look like a more relaxed and adventurous pose for the dragon.
-The dragon's body is in an unnatural pose with gravity and the rock it's standing on.With the way the dragon's body folds over the rock, it seems like the rock gets steeper in the back, and it would seem like the dragon wouldn't be able to stand. If it could, it probably wouldn't have such a relaxed look on its face.
-Some of the colors stand out, especially the brown blotches on the side of the dragons face. The orange color scheme here is gorgeous, and contrasting colors don't do it justice. The jewels on the dragon's tail stick out too. The tail's border gets lighter as the tail gets thinner, but the jewels have a thick border that seems out of place.
I agree, that definitely did sound like some amazing criticism. I'd like that kind of criticism on all the sigs that I make but that would be asking a bit much! :p But I don't think gdn001 was trying to make it sound like you were insulting the drawing. You were doing the exact opposite! Building it up!:)
Thanks Cin! That was exactly what I was looking for.

Outlaw-Jack's first prize. The second will be done tomorrow.
I think I'm going to stick with the colored lines. What do you guys think?
Genius. (filler characters)
Just in case you get tired of the whole dude/dudette thing, zim.
Also, I guess that's for any girl on the interwebs with the same problem.
Also also, Here is the why of the issue. "This is the internet, where the men are men, the women are men, and the children are government agents."-paraphrasation by me.
