If you attach a direct control seat to a missle luancher, will a sackbot try to kill you with it
What about trying to crush you with a directional button attached to a piston controling a block of metal
Or mabye shoot the enmy with the missle luancher..
I don't think you can mix Sackbots with DCS, you can replace Sackbot with normal logic... but who knows

Hmmm. All I know is that sackbots won't be super smart. They're only puppets you know and can do limited things. Wait for the game to come out and see whats new with creating creatures.
I think they said that they can, but I can't remember where. Maybe they meant that if you're driving a sackbot, you can use it to operate a dcs. At any rate, even if they can operate dcs's, they wouldn't know how to aim a missile launcher unless you added aiming logic to it. If you're gonna' do that, you can just simulate the sackbot operating the missile launcher by giving the launcher its own A.I./aiming logic that only kicks in when a bot is present.Quote:

There looks to be a motion object (from the microchip picture) that can be used to do logic programming. I'd guess that the sackbots will come with some basic algorithms and people will make new ones so the intelligence will increase. This appears to be a major advance compared with the fairly basic flee, follow, ignore brain commands.
And I was just about to ask if a Sackbot could pilot a Sackbot. Now, this may seem idiotic, but could I have a Sackbot pilot a Sackbot who pilots an even larger Sackbot?Quote:

Theap Pleman, I realize that, but I find it funny, and would love to implement that in a level, if I were to ever get around to building one.
It would have to, because the first sackbot's control scheme would all be made up of pressing virtual buttons. The second sackbot would react based on the button presses the first sackbot made. (for poorjack)
And yeah, I'm sure there are hundreds of awesome reasons to have sackbots controlling sackbots which control sackbots...who are possibly controlling sackbots?
No it wouldn't. When you enter a dcs, all your buttons get taken over by the device you're driving. It'd be the same for bots. So if, say, you were driving a sackbot, and had that sackbot hop in a dcs to drive a bigger sackbot, every button you press would only apply to the biggest one.
Yeah, that's right...so I guess for poorjack, the answer's still yes, but for a different reason. The first one would have 1 control scheme, and then jump into the 2nd, then would just be controlling the second one which has it's own control scheme.
