Have you created levels/maps in other games?

I have on Far Cry2 & Timesplitter games, what about you? If you have a video, post it.

I've heard that other games have the ability to do this, but ever since LBP, the controls to do so look kinda complicated and... well, not customisable enough.

On PC i've done missions in Arma 2, that has a really nice and simple editor but has scripting and even c++ capabilities.

Being the old school player that I am, I used to be big on the DooM (that is, DooM on DOS!) map making scene. I was even the first person (to the best of my knowledge) to ever make a Star Wars Total Conversion of DooM 2 with 32 new levels, custom music and graphics.

After that, I moved on to making some custom missions for the game TIE Fighter. I've also made a couple of campaign maps for Starcraft.

I sort of got into a phase of making amateur games at that point, so that was the last of my serious map/level making for a long while, until I got LBP that is.

I've made alot of levels on Farcry2... I made an normal sized Eiffeltower thats fully playable with gliders on the top of the restaurant.. Spent hours on that, and it was the most fun playing 1vs1 because the multiplayer was messed up.

I basically started with FarCry: Instincs on the Xbox1, then I moved on to FarCry: Instincs Predator on the Xbox 360. I also played Time Splitters for awhile at times too. I worked on a indie game (which I will not discuss) for about 4 years, sadly it never worked out and it couldn't be finished.

Here's an image of part of the indie game I built, I didn't build the small items like fences( I did place them in the right areas though), but more of the buildings and hills:

That's about it.

I find the level editors in other games a lot more simple than LBP. :(
