7th controller if remotes and other devices that can act as a controller and synched with the PS3 are set there so they don't interfere with gameplay (aka its not considered andother "controller"and it starts to do stuff mid gameplay acting as "player 2, 3 , 4, 5, or6.)
Altho you can indeed set it so these devices are set to act as a controller, but its mainly only for this pourpuse as far as i know.
