You held 3rd spot for a very long time so you did amazingly well too, you still get 200 xp (not that you need it!) I think it is more for the skill challenge of becoming an elite jumping sack more than anything.

If that was training I'm a little nervous about out 1st mission.

I could make harder level than this. But in my humble opinion, it would cross the line where "hard" goes against "fun". Making a high difficulty level is a delicate balance.
