You only make signature costumes m8, ther's a difference between being a good at creating costumes and being a costume creator.
Please lets stop this argument too, or it'll just tourn into another expert/ extreme player/ plataformer debate...and we all know how that went...

Increasing profile size and memory for upgrades and such have nothing to do with each other, I see no reason why doing this will interfere with getting any of the new powerups.

Its just general discussion between pros and cons, there will be people disagreeing, and that's good, that way one can prove better why something is a good or bad idea m8, so don't worry about it.

i for one found my calling with my costumes...and even tho i'm not the most elite of them all i'm still proud of my creations

*just finished creating a Mad Hatter costume for my trademark sackboy Shadowcrazy just an hour before reading all this*

anyways i havent reached the limit but id be comfortable if they added more space so i dont EVER have to cross that bridge when i get there

The thing with raising limits in saved stuff is that it eats away your PS3 memory... so perhaps you could choose how much of it you are willing to sacrifice for more slots...
I want more objects space! :D

...and the published levels, they get saved to servers, don't they? So to raise limits, you need... more...

I do care about costumes and i make costumes all the time (spent 2 hours creating ratchet and clank the other day. Had a good laugh creating that)
The reason there are limits (correct me if i'm wrong) is because without them the game would take up way too much space on the PS3, and crash, a lot.
that is my point, if it were a choice between power-ups and more space (which it pretty much is) i'd choose the power ups. I like the idea of more costumes but i just do not think it would be an appropriate use of LBP data IMO.

And p.s. While I do think that too many peeps here take far too little care over their grammar and what they post, it's not really necessary (or polite) to point it out. We have many members here whose primary language is not English. Thanks :)

Yes, it would be awsome with more costumes and stuff. But like Flamingemu said, i would rather have more space (On the HDD) for power ups and other things.

I would assuming that nobody would mind having more space, but it is not a thing they are willing to give up for a unstable game. The larger your profile is, the longer it takes to load (Which for large profiles can already be a good five minutes!) and the more likely chance that when your game crashes (Which it would A LOT!) that there is more to get corrupt, and you will start noticing corrupt items/costumes/level/etc more often.

Do I want more space for things, yes! DO I want to sacrifice my already long load time and game performance, no. There are other ways to get around the storage issue. If Mm let us put everything that we can create into a prize bubble (Including pods/costumes) you can just put all of them in a level for later use, and that's that.

Besides, everybody should appreciate that we have this great game with the opportunity to create whatever floats your boat! :D

That was a great idea! Just make a level, put everything that you want to keep. With prizebubbles (hopefully)
And when you want to get your costume back, because you had too many costumes in your popit. you can just go to that level and get it.

Well to be Fair that is one thing I may self said in my first post here,
I Said it be nice for them to do that and if they did just that, we would hopefully not need anything else,

And as to the "Me want moOre poWEr ups *Rowr" Some are saying, you know if you want more power ups thats fine,
i my self would want A Sword >Ken-do Sword, because MM only wants friendly ones< more then added room

What I don't get is what the heck do power-ups have to do with costumes and profile storage! Mm could add more power-ups and more space if they wanted to! Power-ups would take up game data space, not save data!

well since we've established that as costume creators we would love to add them in prize bubbles i would also like to add the ability to have Mannequins to display our costume works....or at least be able to have sackbots do a mannequin type pose and stand still so we can make some cool costumes and display them like clothing shops

also would be nice if we could REMOVE eyes and mouths from our sackpeople....too add to the mannequin illusion (also to make more costume options :) )

anyways my 25cents on this

p.s. i have now created an idea to make a costume MALL for LBP2....lol so yeah when LBP2 releases i expect sozo and others to join me in OC so we can make it :D

I was mostly looking at those who DO speak English as their primary language, but just can't be bothered.

On the thread, I liek mannequins.
I think mannequins programmed to rotate themselves 90 degrees every now and then are much more interesting...
unless the dead feeling is wanted.

If you stuff your costumes into a level, your profile is still going to be full sometimes... just make the local space usage amount optional.

Well the level does not take up Memory if you publish it and make it locked. I have a level like that except to irritate people i made a special sticker key so no one could ever enter MUAHAHA... ugh... that's, that's not evil?

ANYWAYS... I like the mannequin idea. My Starkiller level will now not only look amazing if i can i will try to make a good force unleashed level using creatinators and the move peripheral as force grip. :P
As long as Mm adds costumes to prize bubbles. For those costume creators who are like me where you make how to levels. You know that it sucks maken these so Mm GET TO WORK ON IT XP. I believe i posted this earlier so i wont say it again.

Your profile will not be full by creating levels unless all of the levels on your moon take upwards of 995MB. So, if we could put costumes in prize bubbles, this would still never be an issue.

Even if we can't make sackbots just sit there to be a mannequins, nobody never said anything about not being able to do fashion shows. :p

Although I don't make my own costumes [yet], I do like having the various individual costume items that you get from the LBP1 prize bubbles and ACED level prizes made up and saved as complete costumes.
I also have bought each and every costume made available from the PStore.
Add a few "mashed up" costumes [about 10 ]made up from the individual clothing items, well my total is currently 170.

I've ordered the CE of LBP2, so theirs another 10 ...can you see where this is going.
With approx 50 new costumes in LBP2, well what am I to do?
That's 30 costumes I'm going to have to keep as separate individual items at best, which added to the mass of already owned individual costume items, is going to be a nightmare to sort through if I want to make them a complete costume as they were designed to be.

As LBP2 is quite a bit more powerful that LBP1, and the new game/movie create modes are going to inspire people to use, and especially dress Sackbots far more specifically than one would previously a sackboy just to play a level.
MM have created a bunch of movie extras with the addition of Sackbots, and as wardrobe master you want to be able to do your best for your production.
That's why I really think MM should address this 200 costume issue.

If I remember correctly, somebody made a LBP1 level which had a copyable, sort of lockable storage cabinet that you could keep stuff in on your moon.
It looked like a bunch of transparent lockers.
I can't for the life of me remember what it was called or who made it.
If any body can remember what this level was called, and knows what I mean, do you think that this could be used somehow to store extra costumes in?
The alternatives don't seem appealing to me.

You can add costumes to groups in the popit now and sort them into these groups. This makes organising much easier. The groups can be collapsed as well so you can get to others much quicker.

As for saving the costumes out of your popit. You can make a sackbot and give it the costume you want to keep but not in your popit. Add any of these to a level on your moon. :)

My suggestion is:
"Take some cool pictures and then delete some costumes, especially the older ones"
Finally LBP2 has a good photo tool, so you'll take great pics to keep, export onto your HD, make a cool montage or whatever

yeah, too...but I don't have LBP2 yet (yes I'll say it for the millionth time, I hate Sony Italy) and I'm so used to flawed sackbots from the Beta :p

So buy suggestion you are saying that if I were to dress a sackbot in a particular attire [saved costume], save that sackbot to a level on a moon, then delete the attire I have just dressed that sackbot in from my saved costumes menu, I will be able to recall that complete saved costume once I access that sackbot again, there by freeing up sapce in my saved costumes section of the popit.
Is that correct?
