Lbp2 uk collectors edition

I don't know why people are trying to figure out the price using the exchange rate, it doesn't work for anything else in games.

We're probably looking at £70 maybe £65 if we are very lucky based on previous pricing trends.

So it's around the $80 mark in the US and $60 for the normal priced games. So thats a 25% increase which would mean the UK CE should be £50. Frustratingly though, Sony tend not to treat us as equals which means we always get the mucky end of the stick:(.
I for one have learned to live with it though over many years of gaming:).

If it's £65 or £70 i'm not buying it, Anymore than £55 is a complete ripoff. And if it is $70 or something then the US one should be over $120 or something otherwise it wouldn't be fair

Hopefully they'll announce it tomorrow at PAX?

When has the gaming industry ever been 'fair' to Europe?
Mainly when it comes to things like this.
Chances are £70 will be most likely, annoyingly.

Well if it is £70 then i'm sure hardly anyone will bother buying it, as it would be cheaper to buy everything seperately.

The main selling point for me was the DLC, but the plush sackboy is so awesome.

But it's just not worth it IF it is £70.

And if it were to be £70 then the US one should be $120 or everyone outside US are basicaly getting scammed for their money.

Out of curiosity, would this be Nedgame?
Nedgame tends to be early with their listings, and generally fairly accurate with the recommended retail prices.

No official price yet either but no doubt we'll be paying much more for it. We usually end up paying the same in pounds as the US does in dollars. i.e. if it's $70-$80 in the US it will probably be £70-£80 in the UK. Yay! Sackboy plush and game ends! thanks for the info! £70-£80 is a bit steep, even for a collectors edition. I reckon around £60-70 probably. I have around £80 right now so I'm covered hopefully for when it comes out to preorder right away.

A 25% increase would be £62.50.

Our games mostly have a £49.99 RRP they're only sub £40 in all stores because online retailers have been discounting them by that much for years and the high street had had to match it to stay competitive.

Collectors editions don't really get much of a discount presumambly the extra content makes the price less flexible.

It'd have to be north of £80 for me to not buy it and even then i'd still regret not getting it.

80 US Dollars is around 51 UK Pounds
70 US Dollars is around 45 UK Pounds

I wouldn't know what sony does there cause I'm in america and all that stuff...

I for one don't really mind what price it is, i've been saving up xD as long as it ain't anymore than £100 i'll be happy.

I hope they include all the DLC in the UK version, and they should add extra cause, MM is based in UK, and also the US got the QORE cap for LBP1 so its only fair :D

I have £57. Excluding my bus fare and food in my lunch hour.

I'll probably have £50 I can stuff away at the end of the week - Looks like I'll just be pre-ordering the normal one instead!!

I still think it's wrong that a game made in the UK by a British company goes out in America first. Don't you think?

Guys.. You say that 60 GBP would be fair.. right?

But that's around €70,- ... Now a game in the Netherlands usually costs around 60 - 65 euros (And populair games are definitily 65 euros), so i doubt that i'll get the CE for only 5 euros more.. It would be a great win anyways..xD

Really bad news. I just heard that they announced on the playstation blog that UK and Europe aren't getting the plushie or the bookends in our CE. All we're getting is some DLC. Absolutely disgraceful decision by Sony. I hate them more every day. No price announced yet but it ought to be a darn sight cheaper than the US version as there's only about £10 worth of DLC at best. If it's more than £50 they can shove it where the sun don't shine!!

Actually, that's not what it says. It just tells us the basic package, and that each country gets their own package based on this. In other words, it's another tease. :p
