Story: You are a mind sufficating sack boy that is trapped in a constant battle with the love of his life (jill) and his true reality. Your sack boy will visit his past memories of his dead lover. The orb of dreams has him stuck to a breaking point of greef, sadness, and running thoughts. Its up to you to continue on with his dreams and choose to be with the love of his life, or let his mind run free once and for all.

I'm not a bro level creator I'm just pretty decent. I elevated my skills with this level but its nothing over the top when it comes to visuals. So be gental on the visuals and just tell me what I need to make look better. This level main positives are mainly gameplay, length, and story.

Another thing I hate it when poeple here rate on presentation and so many other details, too me all it matters how the level made you feel or what it was supose to make you feel. There are so many good looking but anyoing platform levels and they get great ratings because how complex or good looking the level is but no one ever mentions how anyoing the level made them feel. Inception 2 just brings in minior challanges and standard puzzles so dont base it on that. Its LBP everyone is entiltled to there own way of creating things and making the player feel a certain way.

I have never seen the movie, but i enjoyed the level. My only complaint would be that the camera angles were a bit squirrely at times. But overall was a good level.

Hi Henred, I've played this level, I can see you have created so many levels. Here is my opinion, I always want to be honest so please don't be offend. The level is no bad but there is few problems what I think should be changed. Place with wheels and 4 black hands it is little bit frustrating and can be hard for some players, also puzzle with 3 balls under water is annoying because you have to go so far get last ball and after when all are set up you have to go again the same places because there is the door so you swim 3 times in the same long place. I think people can't finish this level because those 2 things are really bad. I like visuals, specially on last sections. I think problem is also that you wanted put too many different visuals into level so level is twisted and weird. About puzzles, there isn't too many original ideas in gameplay, except that wheel on the back there is nothing what I never saw before, the most puzzles are standard. 3 stars from me and no heart, sorry but I always want be honest and level still needs work.

Igave players a choice that they could pop themselves once they gotten the 3 switches and end up on the check point at the end of the water stage I'm not sure what time period you played it because I've updated that choice late last night. I know I said I'm not big with visuals and said I'm willing to do something about it if you tell me specificly what I should make look better. Another thing I dont know if you watched the movie but the movie itself is supose to be compex so thats why I felt to change each dream because I just dont want the same hold thing I wanted players to explore new areas. Its supose to make them feel as if certain things are changeing.

Had a chance to play your level last night, sorry for taking a bit to get to it.

Your overall concept, or transferring the concept from Inception the movie to yours I think was achieved. It told a story and the change in scenery was put together nicely. The shifting from dream to reality was fairly visible but might benefit by using the global lighting to show a clearer separation from dream to reality.

The use of the glitch layer was done very well. The largest setback of using this layering process and keeping the camera far away from the player, is it makes platforming difficult. For looks, it achieves its purpose and does separate the level from most when you enter it.

As a whole, you captured the feel of entering huge vast open rooms with cogs that are enormous in comparison to the little sackperson you play. Puzzles were very simple but had you running all over the place. Perhaps in the water where you have three keys to get and you specify the player to 'pop' to the furthest checkpoint is a rather bland and cop out idea. It says your too lazy to change up that particular area of the level. This is YOUR level and you want the control. I would have a separate door open in the room once you get the final key in its appropriate spot. Have it open to a straight shot to near that checkpoint. Perhaps even put a sponge there that can be grabbed and zip line the player to that point. That way the reward is still there for accomplishing the task and you dont feel that you cheated or rushed by popping to a certain point. Hopefully that makes sense.

Other areas I would suggest is the visible keys throughout the level. Even the above mentioned puzzle, you have the keys visible right next to the LED light that resembles what color you need. I would make those all invisible and use lights to resemble the correct keys. This I would change through the whole level.

Another area that seemed out of place is in the massive room with the cogs. It leads you to another room after getting the door open to another set of rotating wheels of some kind. The material used to make these seemed very out of place compared to the rest of the level. You also have grabbable material used as the floor by the keys and this will make your character sometimes grab the floor instead of the key.

Final and last thing is to go back and check the spelling one more time. You have a great story thats being told and you dont want people (like me) saying, oops, thats spelled wrong :p While im a horrible speller, I often consult my wife to proof read!

For an overview, you have a great concept and level with great variety and a choice at the end that makes you really think on what you want to do. I would put this at a 3-4 star level but it captured me past the three stars and shoved me into
:star::star::star::star:

Great level, more polish and clean up and you have a very good level.

Thanks alot. I know I couldnt really figure out a way to do the water scene but I'll think about it on your suggestions. I know I put soft material at the bottom but thats because whenever your scak boy falls to the floor with the trigger key, the ball will break without the soft material and thats why I added it but thank you for the input. I know I'm a teribble speller.

Ok Henred, you are right with the scenery changing, I was wrong, I didn't understand that but I think first immersion and last section look great and much better as middle section. As you can see only 3, 4 players have finished your level? If you changed already that puzzle what I wrote that's good because people don't like backtracking at all. Also you should change in my opinion those wheels with 4 hands, up to you but I think it was little bit hard and frustrating. You see this level is not bad and in some places is really good but I think still need some work, how to say, my english is not the best. I mean, in some places I could rate your level 3 stars, in other 4 stars and in few 5 stars. Whole level is not the same good.

So here is my feedback.5 stars on visuals( It could use more light to see more detail) even though its the background that does it and you had little to do with that. However -5 stars on everything else. Where's the fun? Everything was drawn out and drab, and forgive me for asking but is English your second language? The grammar and spelling was some of the worst I've ever seen. 5stars + -5 stars = 0stars. Hopefully if your giving feedback on other levels you have some idea of what your talking about. Unfortunately this level contradicts that theory.

I played the level a few days ago and am one of the few that have actually completed the level too. Here are my thoughts:

I liked the main title sequence with Inception 2 floating with all of the cogs. I noticed that you made use of the layer glitch, which looks nice and all, but for me it was a little jarring. It could be because I am not used to playing levels with that glitch. I am also not a fan of the camera angles, the angles were too far away and off to the side, which made some of the platforming sections a pain, when they most likely did not need to be. I had a lot of unfair deaths because of the camera angles.
Next thing I noticed, like with your other levels, is that the level still seems rather square. Not a lot a variety with the environment, seems like you stuck with the square tool and then did a little corner editing, but still kept sharp angels.

Another thing I noticed is that one of the first sections that requires a few keys to unlock a door does not actually require the keys. I had ran into the door and the door pieces that were supposed to be blocking my just got pushed out of the way. You may want to revisit that sections for some editing.

The next section I had issues with was the spot with the big spinning rings. They were placed just far enough apart that they resulted in a lot frustration when it came to getting to each of the rings. The camera angels here, yet again, may have played a part in this situation as well.

The underwater section was nice, but the distance of travel for the three keys has to great, especially for that last key. I felt like I was wasting a lot of time swimming back and forth and making no progress. Many people would probably just quit. So I would change the length of this section, but the look is great.

The last section I liked was the section with the lighting effects, with the black background and white lights. Great looking effect, but the game slowed down to a crawl because of it and it was unbearable. I actually paused my game and took a break because of the slow down the effect caused on the level. If you did that intentionally I would change it, because that section was a level killer for sure, if it wasn't, I would still see what you could to do about fixing the slow down. But like I said, it is a really cool effect, just the slowdown was undesirable.

Overall, a great first version of the level, there is still a lot of work to be had, but you are well on your way to having a great level. I feel that everything that was mentioned by other members of this community have all made good points, heed our advice and you should be in good hands and fixing the issues this level has.

- What the? You have two teleporter deaths That I'm sure can be replaced by dissolving floor.
- Make the blocky doors (in the "was that just a dream?") look better. They seem to fit a dream world better than the real one.
Gave up at the rotating rings with the gold feather decoration. They are too rough around the edges, hampering the players ablity to jump to the next one. The decorations also limit visibility of sackboy, making it even more difficult.

I don't think the level made me feel anything (including motivation to continue). I don't even know who Jillian is, not seeing the movie I guess.
I would introduce the character for the 1% of people who haven't seen the movie.

Levels are not always supose to make you feel everything. I want the player rather not know the history of Jill thats why you visit sack boys past memories about her. Its better to have the player guessing not everything has to be 2 literal. You havint finished the level so it ovious that you didnt feel anything and find out a little more charcter development with Jillian. When I play a level I never feel anything unless its an anoying platform level with a clock down race, or survivals. You shouldnt crtizise the level even though you havint even finished it, either way I know what minior problem to fix, seems like your main complaint is the swallowness of the level which is more of a personal opinion rather then a positive or negative feture.

You asked for F4F. You should switch to decaf coffee or maybe you need a time out but please stop attacking everybody who doesn't agree with you and your creative Ideas. I agree with Midnight and his opinion because I also have no idea where your coming from with that particular level. Sorry but that's just the way it is. Don't F4F next time.

Occasionally I play and post feedback on F4F levels, even though I don't ask for anything in return.
Usually people who tag their levels with F4F want some opinions about their work, so I give them an extra opinion for no charge.

I had no prior knowledge of the movie, so I made an best guess as to what was going on the the level story wise.
I may not a good judge of story, but I feel motivation is important for the player.

The most important part of my post was the part about the rotating ring gameplay. Any response to that?
As that is the reason I didn't complete the level.

Just stop and move on I played your level and I got to say what I got to say just ignore me please and my level, I send like 5 diffrent messages but you still dont get the picture. I had nothing against you or the level. At least Mid night came with a fare statement, you just said nothing but bad things for the wrong reasons.You are such a Hypocrite. I use my F4F when people actully give something to fall back on and I fix my errors. You dont, from what you have written to me thus far I have the feeling you just play favorites, I gave you a bad review and I used my F4F and in return you gave me junk mail. All the things you have told me reflect back to you. You said I dont make good use of F4F but as far as I know you dont either. You said what do I know about level making, well I dont know everything but by what Ive seen oviously you dont know much either, at least I fix my problems, so I know enough. At least I see people Feedback as a call to fix some complaints they had, you waved off my Feedback and saw it as an insult. Please stop your too grown to continue this.

I'm not sure what your problem is, but I played your level again.What exactly did you fix? I'm moving on from this thread but before I do, Relax a little bit and for God's sake DON'T DOUBLE POST.
