Yea. You can count me into that platoon, too. I was in it for the BETA but they didn't have any use for it on consoles. :/ What they should do is have it like an in-game friends list. Or at least be able to send invites over the battlelog to people on the same console as you. This way you can play with your platoon but not have to worry about making space on your friends list.
Edit:
Just found this video. Not sure if it's new or not. But I haven't seen it before. Sorry if it's already up here... D:

Sorry for the X-Box intro... xD Couldn't find it on the official Battlefield channel...
Quick question... can you blow out the tires on a jeep?
Oh wow, I just realized that the Back to Karkand pack is actually four maps :O I thought it was just Karkand. So that's like, 13 maps on for launch. And those maps have different areas for different gamemodes, so... wow. That's a lot of mappage.
Also, in the new multiplayer trailer, you can see what look like huge hovercraft things that are carrying jeeps. I really hope they aren't static, because, boating in on those things with a huge group of players sitting in land vehicles, ready to hop off when they get to shore, would be absolutely amazing.
I remember the first time I played Battlefield 1942 - Captaining an offshore Aircraft Carrier - blew me away.
Shame that things have been scaled down in the later versions :(
Official launch trailer released today.

EDIT: I removed the video embed because of the f-bomb at the end. Rules are rules, after all. :(
Wow... Graphics these days, right? Looked so much like real life that it could have been recorded by BF fans... o.o (Note my title... :P)
IS IT REAL LIFE?

OR IS IT BATTLEFIELD 3?!
...
WRONG! It's both.
Duh.
Day 1 dillema... single player campaign, co-op, or multiplayer?
I'm taking the day off work, but once the little one comes home it's no more BF3 until the next night. But i'll have about 6-7 hours of full-volume gameplay all by myself at home until I have to pick my little munchkin up from day care. Do I start and finish the campaign first? Try unlocking the exclusive weapons for MP in co-op with someone online? Or just start taking down MCOMs?
I second it!
EDIT: My friend got this game early. I was at his house last night playing the campaign and thought it was pretty fun, we also played a bit of the co-op and that was cool too. I wanted to try MP but he didn't want to appear online. I'm going to go tonight as well to play MP as I think it'll be okay to play MP a few hours before release.
I'm definitely going to be playing campaign first. I'm undecided on what to do after, however, as having more weapons in multiplayer from co-op could be helpful. But yeah, I'd definitely recommend playing at least some of the campaign before multiplayer as you'll more than likely gain some experience with the vehicles.
Well, actually have to share the TV with the other lovely lady in my life. Not only does that mean I will probably be exposed to multiple episodes of Real Housewives of New Jersey, 9021blow, and Jersey Shore, but I won't be playing BF3 until she hits the hay. Tuesday night is my computer night. :(
Campaign was where I was leaning initially, as it has been two weeks since I have played the beta and it actually looks pretty fun. But other than a few trophies, there's little real incentive for me to play it other than to get it out of the way. I'm really looking forward to co-op and multiplayer more than anything, but I suppose I can do a mix of all three throughout Tuesday. Probably will hit up campaign from about 10:30 to 1 PM (assuming I'm in and out of Best Buy by 10:15), then multiplayer from 1-4. When I reclaim the TV later that night, I'll look for friends online or just roll the dice on a co-op partner or tackle some more MP.
Well, I didn't pre-order it, so I guess I wait until the second shipment.
If any of you are looking for somebody to play with online for Day 1, you can always message me... :P I'll have 'no' homework that night (As usual) and I'll be on from about 5pm to 10pm PST. (Whaaaaale's time. I actually live like 1-2 hours away from him... xD)
