Clive... I can only think of few things. He is a a very lonely and depressed calendar head, who built the factory, propably in his selfishness. I mean seriously: space ships are ok but a calendar who likes creating calendars is pure egoism.

About Clive?
Well, I think he is a man made of desk stuff and a notepad for a head. He was a successful factory owner until he became overwhelmed by the dreary factory life and became it. Then the Negitivitron attacked and added to his sadness. But his brave actions in that turkey level inspired him to do something with his life.
But that's just what I think...

I always thought he was a notebook, he may produce calendars but they definitely don't look like his head. And who draws faces onto calenders!? (Well, actually...) I'm sure he's a notebook though...
I think Clive's depression is a result of getting too far ahead of himself. Building up this factory, only to be eaten alive by consumerism. He's not meant for business, he never wanted to run a major company. He just got lost and confused - now he's paying the price. We've all been there. Stay strong little man. *sniff*
I think we also have to consider that perhaps Clive wan't always depressed. I mean, when we met him, his factory had just been torn to pieces by a Sackbot army.
I don't think anyone would be happy if evil Sackbots (albeit, cute) destroyed something you worked hard on. Just look at how upset we get when our PS3 HDD get's wiped!

I played lbp2 and was dissapointed by Clive not wearing a rose for St George's day. He is English after all.
